To the free end of the spoon portion 24 of the member 23 is pivotally connected the lower end of a wire 28 which extends upwardly between the extension l5 and the side of the bottle and which at its upper end is attached to an upwardly dished substantially circular ejector 28. A guide rib 30 is provided on the extension [5 to serve as a guide for the ejector 29, the latter having a slot 3| into which the guide rib 30 projects, as best shown in Fig. 3, The outer edge of the guide rib 30 conforms generally'to the contour of that part of the receptacle which is opposite the guide rib,'as clearly shown infFigs; 1 and 2, so that the ejector will be guided in itsup and down movements by the inner wall of the receptacle' and by the guide rib and is prevented from being accidentally disengaged from the latter.
The wire 21, the spring H, the wire 28, and the part forming the pivot for the combined lever and'agitator may be formed of stainless steel or other inert material. The lever and agitator 23 and the ejector 29fmay be formed from inert plastic material, as, for example, that which is utilized in forming the cap' II with its extension l5 and possibly also the receptacle I0.
Normally the parts occupy the relative posi tions shown in Fig. 1, but when it is desired to dispense material fromthe receptacle, the latter is tilted substantially as shown in Fig. 2 and then the plunger .19 is depressed causing the ejector to move toward the lower end of the delivery opening M and to discharge av predetermined quantity of the material from the outer endof the delivery opening, itbeing noted that the movement of the ejector29 for its full stroke is toward the delivery opening. When the operator releases the plunger I9, the coil spring I! immediately restores the plunger to lts:normal position shown in Fig. 1 and ofcourse the user of the device may repeat the ejecting'operation as many times as desired by repeatedly'pressing down and releasing the plunger, and on the downward strokes of the plunger substantially the same measured or' predetermined amounts of the material will be discharged through, the
spout, assuming that full strokes are given to' the plunger I9. Smaller amounts can be'dispensed by shortening the strokes of the plunger. When the device is righted or placed in its normal upright position shown in Fig. 1, it is found that very little if anyof the dispensed material runs down the cap, this being due to the conthrough the cap,
[projecting therefrom for the ejector and a spring struction of the cap including the spout I3 and v the disposition of the delivery opening l4 and especially the position of the outer end thereof.
By widening or giving the body portion of the part 23 a spoon shape, the'latter serves to agitate the material in the'receptacle so as to maintain it in the desired viscous condition suitable for ejection from the receptacle.

Having thus described our claim:
1. In a dispensing device of the character described; a receptacle having a cap with a delivery opening, an ejector movable toward and from the opening, and mechanism operableirom the top of the caplOl shifting saidiejector, said mechanism including a lever operatively connected to the ejector and a single manually operable'member connected to said lever and extending upwardly through the cap and accessible beyond the top thereof, the upper end of said member being shaped to be manually engaged and depressed to move the ejector toward the delivery invention, we

A dispensing device including a receptacle having a cap with a discharge opening, an ejector inthe receptacle movable toward and from the opening, a lever operatively connected to the ejector, a member extending into the receptacle and constituting a support for said lever, and a plunger extending through the cap and adapted to be depressed to cause movement of the ejector toward said delivery opening, said-memberand said ejector having engaging means to guide the ejector for the full stroke of the latter.
