One embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows the magazine in its folded, out of action position,

The magazine, which cooperates with the bolt is held in correct positions by a sleeve I2, in which the upper part of the magazine is introduced as far as its lateral abutment I allows this. The sleeve I 2, is pivoted, by means of a pin I I, on the fore part of the breech casing.

On the fore wall of the sleeve I2, is arranged a spring controlled magazine-catch 2, the head of which must be pushed from the magazine, when the latter should be released.

On the rear wall oi the sleeve I2, is pivoted another spring controlled lever 2U, capable to turn at about 180 around its pin.

In the ring position of the magazine as shown by Fig. 2', the lever` 20 is automatically folded close to the sleeve I2 and its tooth 3 engages a spring controlled lever 5 pivoted in the foremost end of the trigger guard I 0.

When the operator wants to fold the magazine into the forearm of the gun, he depresses the rear arm of the lever 5, thus disengaging the folding sleeve I2. l

Subsequently, when the operator turns the magazine and sleeve I2 forward, about pivot II of the sleeve I2, the lever 20 is automatically rotated by its spring in counter-clockwise direction (Fig. 1), so that the free end of lever 20 moves toward the fore-end of the trigger-guard. Thus that part of the opening in the shaft, which would otherwise, in the folded position of the magazine, remain open and exposed behind the magazine (Fig. l) is gradually covered. When the magazine is fully swung into the forearm of the weapon, another tooth 22 of the lever 20 engages the front edge of the trigger-guard, thus looking the* magazine and its sleevefI`2 'inf their folded, out of a'ctionpositio-n (Fig. 1i);

The device claimed in claim 1, in which said cover is collapsed against the rear wall of said sleeve when the latter is inserted in the opening in said casing, and spring means associated with said cover, said spring means urging said cover away from said sleeve and into position to close the said opening in the casing.

The device claimed in claim 1, in which said cover is collapsed against the rear wall of said sleeve when the latter is inserted in the opening in said casing, and spring means associated with said cover, said spring means urging said cover away from said sleeve and into position to close the said opening in the casing, cooperating means on said casing, and fastening means disposed at the free end of said cover, said fastening means being adapted to engage said cooperating means when said sleeve is inserted in the cavity in saidstock.
