MODE OF PACKING GLAZIERS POlNTS.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 230,632, dated August 3, 1880.

To all whom tt may concern:

Be it known that I, GEO. W. HUBBARD, of Windsor, in the county of Windsor and State I of Vermont, have invented anew and useful Improvementin the PackingofGlaziersPoints, of which the following is a specification.

The invention relates to glaziers points. arranged and cemented together in a manner convenient for handling or for adjustment for their insertion into the Window-sash.

H eretofore such points have been furnished to the consumer in a loose and confused condition. This method is objectionable for the reason that a separate adjustment of each point is necessary for its insertion into a sash or into a tool or machine which may be used for such insertion, and also for the inconvenience in handling singly articles of such small size.

The object of my invention is to provide for use by glaziers points arranged and held in piles or columns convenient for handling or for insertion into the sash, or into a suitable tool or machine which may be employed for such insertion.

The invention consists in the arranging and cementing glaziers points one upon another in prismatic piles or columns.

In the accompanying drawings, Figures 1 and 3 are side elevations, and Figs. 2 and 4 plan yiews, of myinvention as applied to points of various shapes.

The points are symmetrically arranged one upon another, and cemented thus together in sections of convenient length.

The best mode by which [have contemplated 1h us binding the points together is by coating or saturating the columns with paraffine-Wax or other suitable cementing material of tenacity sufficient to retain the points in position in ordinary handling, but not suflicient to prevent their being easily detached or struck oii singly by a suitable tool or machine which may be employed for their insertion into the sash.

What I claim is The mode herein described of putting up glaziers points, consisting in arranging them in symmetrical columns and securing them together by coating or saturating said columns with paraffine-wax or like material.
