An object of this invention is to provide a baby sanitary diaper made of soft paper with a seat and crotch of heavier material, the paper being designed to flt the contour'of babies bodies.

Another object of this invention is to provide a sanitary diaper of the character described, which will be sanitary, and easily disposed of when soiled, and will eliminate the use of buttons, pins and metal fasteners, and can be placed on a babys body with little disturbance to the infant, and which can be simply and quickly ap plied.

A further object of this invention is to provide a sanitary diaper of the character described, which will not necessitate the use of any outer covering, and which will prevent the baby's urine or excretion from seeping through, and which when soiled can be taken from the body by pulling the same from under the body, So that it may be discarded.

Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a durable, sanitary diaper of the character described which shall be relatively inexpensive to manufacture, and yet practical and efllcient to a high degree in use.

Other objects of this invention will in part be obvious and in part hereinafter pointed out.

The invention accordingly consists in the features of construction, combinations of elements,

and arrangement of parts which will be exemplifled .in the construction hereinafter described, and of which the scope of application will be indicated in the following claim.

In the accompanying drawing, in which is shown one of the various possible illustrative embodiments of this invention.

Fig. l is a front perspective view of the sanitary diaper embodying the invention, shown in position for use;

Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken on line 2-4 of Fig. 1; and

Fi 3 is a top plan view of the diaper.

Referring now in detail to the drawing, l designates a sanitary babys diaper embodying the invention. The same comprises a sheet ll made from a single blank oi? soft paper. Said sheet has a central crotch portion l2, from which there extends forwardly a portion l3 having outwardly extending wings l5. Extending forwardly from portion I3 is a tab l6, for the purpose hereinafter appearing.

Extending rearwardly from the crotch portion I is a portion II, from which there extends wings l8 and IS. The top surface of the wins I8 is covered by adhesive material, as shown at 20. The side edges of the crotch portion 12 are curved, as shown at 22 to fit around the insides of the babyslegs.

On top of the crotch portion 12 is placed a w 25 of heavier absorbent material such as cotton, or the like material.

In applying the diaper to the baby, the baby is placed on the diaper with his legs on opposite sides of the crotch portion 12. The front'portion It is then folded upwardly to coverthe baby's abdomen. The wing I 9 is then folded i'or-v wardly to cover the portion I3. The tab It is then folded forwardly and downwardly to cover the wing IS. The other wing I8 is then folded over the tab it and wing l9 and pasted thereto by use of the adhesive 20 which may be wetted for the purpose.

When the diaper is soiled, it may be Just pulled down from under the baby's body. It will be noted that holes 30 are formed on oppositesides of the crotch l2, through which the baby's legs project.-

It will now be understood that the diaper may be easily applied. The heavy reinforced pad will prevent seepage through the diaper. The diaper may be disposed of after use. It will be noted that no pins, buttons or other fastening members are necessary in applying the diaper to the baby.

It will thus be seen that there is provided a device in which the several objects of this inventionare achieved, and which is well adapted to meet the conditions of practical use.

As various possible embodiments might be made of the above invention, and as various changes might be made in theembodiment above set forth, it is to be understood that all matter herein set forth or shown in the accompanying drawing is to be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.

Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:

A diaper comprising a single sheet of paper having a crotch portion, a portion extending forwardly from the crotch portion and adapted to be folded upwardly against the abdomen of the baby, a tab extending from said forwardly extending portion, a portion extending rearwardly from the crotch portion, and formed with oppositely extending wings, one of the wings being adapted to be folded forwardly against the forwardly extending portion, said tab being adapted to be folded downwardly over said forwardly folded wing, and said other wing being adapted
