A rectangular but 'elongated fioating trame, shown detached in Figs. 5 and 6, is disposed in guided relation and for vertical movement between channel trame members l4; this fieating trame comprising vertical channel-shaped sides l8 tacing teward each other and fitted with rollers 19 which ride between the flanges et channel members I4 with an easyfit, and other rollers 20, adjacent the lower rollers 19, which ride the bottom et said members [4. The latter at the top are provided with rollers 20a engaging the outer faces et members la. Cross beams 2l connect sides l8 et the floating trame at the front therect. A multiple sheave bleck 22 is disposed adjacent and centrally ahead et the lower end et the fieating trame, being connected to sides l8 .by means et a skeleten cage 23. Theupper or V corresponding multiple sheave block 24 is mount-" ed on the underside et plate Il in vertically alined relation. A cable 25 leads from the drum 5 et power centrolunit 4 onthe tracter, over a direction-changing sheave 26, about anether sheave 21 mounted en post 1, thence back and forth about the sheaves et blocks 22 and 24,

' An elevator trame et elongated rectangular configuration, but somwhat shorter than the fioating trame, is vertically disposed betweenthe channelsides I8 ot'the floating trame and comprises facing channel sides 29 offset rearwardly a. slight distancerelative te said sides 18, and cennected by top andbottom cross beams 30.
Thesides 29 carry rollers 3l at both ends which 35 with one end et said cablesbeing anchored te plate Il and the other end anchor'ed, aS at 31, to the elevator trame adjacent the lower ends'ot side channls29. Cables36 are etsuch fixed outer trame members 14; the fleating trame, as it rises, providing the necessary firm support for the elevator trame at all positions et the latter. At the same time, an excessive permanent height, which would intertere With movement through warehouse doors and the like, is avoided.
It will be seen that the machine is capable et lifting very heavy loads due to the multiplication et power between the power control unit 4 and elevator trame, and in addition the projecting trame 2 and supperted engiue 3 serve as a ceunter-weight which} prevcnts rearward tipping when a lead is in position en arms 34 and the elevator trame raised. Fer transporting a lead from placete place, the machine is very maneuverable due to the close ceupling et the tracter and elevator assemblies, and this advantage is et importance to facilitate lifting, transpertng, and stacking et loads,
From. the toregoing description it will be readily seen that I have produced such a device as Substantially tulfills the objects et the invention as set forth herein.
While this specification sets forth in detail'the present and preterred construction et the device, Still in practice such deviations from such detail may be reserted to as do not form a departure from the spirit et the invention, as defined by the appended claims.
