2 Claims.
The invention relates to improvements in figure mountings the primary object of which is the provision of a figure mounting arranged to receive and support figures of various kinds which is of simple construction, capable of economical production and highly efficient in use.
Another object of the invention is the provision of a gure mounting of the character indicated especially adapted for use in conjunction with labels for canned goods or the like.
Other objects Will appear hereinafter.
The invention consists in the combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.
The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification and in which Fig. 1 is a face view of a figure mounting in the form of a cardboard sheet adapted and arranged for use in accordance with the invention;
Fig. 2 an edge view thereof; Y
Fig. 3 a rear view of said cardboard sheet;
Fig. 4 an enlarged face View of a label employed in conjunction with the said mounting;
Fig. 5 a similar View of another form of such label; and
Fig. 6 a perspective view illustrating the label shown in Fig. 4 as applied to a can.
rThe embodiment of the invention illustrated in the drawing comprises a supporting member'in the form of a cardboard sheet I having an appropriate scene II printed on the face thereof as indicated in Fig. 1. As shown, the scene II is provided with a suitably placed blank space I2 adapted and arranged to receive cut-outs as will be presently explained. On the back of the sheet I0 is a body I3 of non-drying adhesive material which is covered by a protective sheet I4 of flexible material Which may be readily removed therefrom when it is desired to utilize the adhesive body. The rear side of the sheet I0 is also provided With suitable blocks I 'and I6 of printed directions, descriptions and other suitable matter appropriate to the situation.
Associated With the supporting sheet I0 are other sheets II and I8 which may preferably be in the form of labels for canned goods, the sheet I'I carrying a cut-out mannequin figure I9 and the sheet I8 carrying ya cut-out dress 20 appropriate for application to said mannequin.
In use, the mannequin figure I9 is first cut from the sheet Il; the back thereof is then applied to the non-drying .adhesive body I3; and then applied to the face of the sheet IIJ in the space I2. The dress 20 is then cut from the sheet I 8, its back similarly applied to the adhesive body I3 and then applied to the space I 2 over the mannequin I9 thereby depicting the conjoint appearance of the mannequin with the dress applied thereto associated with the scene II on the face of the `display card I0. It is contemplated that various scene or display cards I0 will be provided depicting various appropriate scenes.
