This invention aims to provide a brassiere which will be productive of a mild massage, kill the odors of perspiration, and be capable of being taken down for the laundrying of those parts that need cleaning. l

The numeral I marks a. pair of outwardly bulged open-work frames, preferably made of wire. The upper parts of the frames l are com- 40 posed of downwardly concaved portions 2 forming an intermediate seat 3. Rollers l are mounted to turn on the downwardly concaved portions 2 of the frames I. Rollers 5 are mounted to turn on the seats 3. The rollers l and 5 produce a 45 mild massage and may be made of glass or similar material, if desired. The rollers I are prevented from sliding-downwardly by contact with certain radial elements 6 of the frames I. If the radial elements 8 are not located as shown in 60 the drawings, the rollers I cannot slide downwardly, because angles 1 are formed where the concaved portions 2 of the frames I join the rims of the frames.

In practice, the breasts cause the thin gauze layers II to conform to the inner surfaces of the frames I, much more closely than Figure 4 shows, and the layers I? do not extend between the rollers l and i and the breasts, and thereby prevent the rollers from having contact with the breasts: but to insure contact between the rollers and the breasts, the layers. I! are cut away on their upper edges, as' shown in Figure 5, to expose the rollers, as shown in Figure 4.

, On the outside ofthe frames I is located a cover I8, conforming to the shape of the frames I, and preferably made of cloth. The cover I8 is held in place, because it can be engaged de- 5 tachably with hooks IS on the rims of the frames I. Any suitable substitute for the hooks I9 may be provided. The cover I 8 may be gored, as shown at 20, to facilitate the shaping of the cover to the frames I A reef 2| may be formed in the intermediate portion of the cover I8 and be ironed down, as shown in Fig. 3. The reef 2I will expand, as occasion may require, to vary the horizontal distance between the bulged portions of the cover I 8 and, thereby, enable the bulged 66 the distance between the centers of the frames I.

The elastic strip 8 formsa yieldable connection between the frames l and enables the device to conform to the'movements of the body of the wearer. The pads l5 are located at the places of juncture between the lower portions of the breasts of the wearer and the wearers body. Perspiration is likely to occur there, and the pads, being treated with a suitable chemical, kill the odors of perspiration. The pads l5 are of relatively small size, considered with respect to the frames I, and the breasts of the wearer are not inclosed in a heating and sweat producing cover. By detaching the fasteners l4 and II, the straps 9 and the shoulder pieces I! can be taken off for washing. The cover I8 may be detached from the hooks [9, for washing.

The device is simple in construction, but thoroughly sanitary, in that all parts needing laundry work can be detached readily for that purpose.

What is claimed is:

1. A brassiere comprising open mesh frames shaped to conform to the human breasts, a resilient connection between the inner portions of the frames, a body encircling band, means for connecting the forward ends of the band detachably to the outer portions of the frame, shoulder pieces having their rear ends connected to the rear portion of the band, means for connecting the forward ends of .the shoulder pieces detachably with the upper parts of the frames and rollers journaled on the upper portions of the frames, and located in groups, on opposite sides of the places of connection between the forward ends of the shoulder pieces and the frames.

2. A brassiere comprising open mesh frames,

shaped to conform to the human breasts, means for connectingtogether the inner portions of the frames, means for holding the frames on the body of a wearer, chemical pads of less area-than the frames. the pads being located within the frames and extending backwardly to the rear edges of the frames, to nullify perspiration in the angles caused by the tendency of breasts to sag, the pads terminating well below the centers of the frames, to avoid overheating of the upper portions of the breasts and the nipples, means for securing the pads to the lower portions of the frames, and a cover extended over the frames, outwardly thereof, and detachably connected to the frames.
