Referring to the drawings'indetail, the chair constituting the present invention comprises a 3() stationary l'mainframe A, an adjustable seat B and an adjustable back C, respectively.. The' main frame-A is, of course, portable for changing the chair from one-locality to another and also for 'transportation purposes.` This main frame Ain- 35 volves a foundation framing I0,l in 'this instance providedy with legs II and sidejarmsv I2, respectively. f
The adjustable seat B inclu yesfopposite side rails `I3, a front rail I4, a rearcross slat. I5,a o`
plurality of intermediate cross slats` I6v and a brace ,II diagonally disposed to the ylatter. The front rail I4 through hinges I8 connected with the framing III at the frontv thereof and with the said rail renders the said seat'B vertically swing- 4,5 able-within the framing I 0, the front lower corners of the side rails I3 being suitably notched to clear vthe rail I0 in the movement of the said seat'. This 4seat vB iscushioned or otherwise built for comfort toan occupant thereof, the cushioning and up- 50 holstery of such seat being not'shown.
n The backC comprises the-side pieces I9 and cross slats or braces 2n fixed thereto. ThisA back C canbe cushioned or otherwise built for-comfort, the cushioning and upholstery thereof being 55 j; r v not shown. Fixed to the side pieces I9 ofV the back C adjacent to the lowermost ends thereof at the outer side of the same are disk-like Wheels 2 i each being peripherally channeled or grooved at 22, while formed in the side bars 23 fixed in theiraming Il! and'adjacent to the rear end of said framing are substantially half circular bearing sockets ifor accommodating the wheels 2 I, the latter being turnably intertted with the said sidebars 23 by the-peripheral channels or grooves/22 to avoid lateral dispiacement yof the said Wheels 2i when. engaged in the bearing notches 2li therefor. These Wheels ii are Xed spaced from the side pieces lil, the spacers for the said 4wheels being indicated `atl 2i While tire rails at 23 are socketed at M for the rotatable seating ofthe wheels 2l in these sockets so that the seat back Will swing vertically. v
The wheels carry crank arms 26 rigid therewith and to which arepivotaily connected links 2i, .these also pivotally connected Vto a hanger yoke 'f23fxed to the under sidefof. the :seat B atvits rear end. Thehanger yoke 28 at opnoends is -forrned- `with upstanding ears for the ypio/pirati connection at 36: therewith of the links 27. The crank arms 2t are providedktvith spaced wies 3l Aseiectivel-y \engagealale` by the :separatevpivotsvgi :tor tnefa'djustaiile pivotal connection ci the ginksi with saidarms.
On the lowering of the seatfB, 1t-he back C` is raised automatically andjvice versa.- l'fjhen the back C is vpressed upon-towing it toa reclining posit-ion,.th'e seat B automatically raises, Athe nutoma-tic .action for the raising of the back C being had by depressing the seat B.
By adjustmentjo-i the links 2i through the `:se-
