Secured to the inner face of the wall 8 of the cover is a semi-circular shaped plate IS, the purpose of which is to extend partly between the gas containers adjacent the lower edge of the cover closing the space between the cover and the containers preventing an unauthorized person from reaching up under the cover and tampering with the equipment.
What is claimed is:
1. A cabinet for bottled gas systems comprising a plate having a relatively fiat surface mountable on a wall of a building and formed with openings for receiving gas regulating equipment mounted thereon, a cover hinged on said plate to overlie and enclose the gas regulating equipment and upper portions of gas containers connected with said equipment, means for locking the cover to the plate and a prop hinged substantially centrally of said cover and having a forked end to engage with the equipment for supporting the cover in a raised position to expose the equipment and its connections with the gas containers, and a guard plate secured on the inner face of the cover to extend partly between the gas containers and cooperate therewith in preventing unauthorized tampering with the equipment when the cover is in a closed position.
2. A hood fOr bottled gas systems comprising a back plate having a relatively flat surface mountable on the exterior of a building and formed with openings for receiving gas regulating equipment mounted thereon, vertical flanges formed on said plate and projecting above the upper edge thereof, a cover hinged on the upper ends of the flanges to normally occupy a position to overlie the equipment and upper ends of gas containers connected with said equipment and including an arcuately curved wall and segmental-shaped end walls integral with the arouateiy curved wall, and a flange formed on the upper edge of the plate and inclined upwardly and outwardly therefrom to extend within the cover at the hinged end thereof, and a prop carried by the cover to engage the equipment for supporting the cover in an open position.
3. A hood for bottled gas systems comprising a back plate having a relatively flat surface mountable on the exterior of a building and formed with openings for receiving gas regulating equipment mounted thereon, vertical flanges formed on said plate and projecting above the upper edge thereof, a cover hinged on the upper ends of the flanges to normally occupy a position to overlie the equipmentand upper ends of gas containers connected with said equipment and including an arcuately curved wall and segmental-shaped end walls integral with the arouately curved wall, a flange formed on the upper edge of the plate and inclined upwardly and outwardly therefrom to extend within the cover at the hinged end thereof, a prop carried by the cover to engage the equipment for supporting the cover in an open position, and a semi-circular shaped plate secured on the inner face of the arcuately curved wall of the cover to extend partly between the gas containers.
