1 Claim.

This invention appertains to new and useful improvements in display apparatus for advertising various styles of new garments and the like.

The principal object of the present invention 5 is'to provide a display apparatus which includes moving models preferably in miniature form dressed in miniature clothing.

Another important object of the invention is to provide a style displaying apparatus which 10 will beexceedingly attractive to the public.

Other important objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent to the reader of the following specification.

Figure 5 is a fragmentary perspective view of the chain. v 25 Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, it can be seen that numeral 5 denotes a base having the side walls 6 and these side walls support the top wall or platform I which is provided with an elliptical 30 shaped slotway B therein, the slotway extending from the doorway 9 of the residential-like structure l through the doorway ll of the churchlike structure l2, both structures being mounted in spaced relation upon the platform I. The doors l3 and H of the structures Ill-l2, respectively, are of the spring hinge type and can be readily opened by the figures l5 pushing against the same.

Below the platform 'I are mounted the pair of 40 spaced sprocket wheels l6--l'| driven by a suitable motor l8. These sprocket .wheels mesh with the endless chain I! which at certain intervals is (01. un- 12s provided with upstanding fingers 20 from which extend the lugs 2|. Each of these lugs Zl has an opening 22 therein for receiving the depending stud 23 from the corresponding end of a bar 24.

Caster wheels 25 have the shanks 26 of their yokes 5 disposed upwardly, through the bars 24 and into the overlying plate 21. The arrangement of the plates 21 thus connected to the chain 19 is continuous and they have their ends in overlapping relation as is clearly shown in Figure 1. Upon these plates 21 are mounted the figures which are preferably in miniature and each dressed to represent a certain style of ladies or gentlemens apparel.

The chain l9 moves in a direction to bring the 15 figures through the doorway 9 and in the direction of the churchlZ, through the church and then pass outwardly through an opening in the side of the church to return to the residence ID. If desired a fence or the like can be placed between the structures to substantially conceal the return movement of the figures.

While the foregoing specification sets forth the invention in specific terms, it is to be understood that numerous changes in the shape, size and materials may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed hereinafter.

A display apparatus comprising a platform having a slot therein, a traveling member mounted under the platform and beneath the said slot, an elongated arrangement of plates on the platform, said plates having their end portions in interlapping relation, connecting means between the traveling member and the plates, display figures mounted on certain of the plates, said plates being constructed and arranged on the platform to conceal the said slot from view.
