It will be seen from the foregoing that we have provided a structure in accordance with our invention wherein the high tension transformer is separately disposed at a distance from or is spaced from the heating transformer while both are disposed in a common housing, as shown, The secondary winding of the high tension transformer and the secondary winding of the heating transformer are united by a common insulating means to form a unit. A separate adjustment or independent adjustment or regulation of the high tension and of the tube current, respectively, is thus possible.
Attention is called to the fact that we have shown only the relevant details of the apparatus for the, sake of convenience and simplicity of description. It is understood, of course, that matter known in connection with such apparatus, but for thenoted reasons omitted herein, is considered to be part of the disclosure.
Specific embodiments have been shown in order to teach others how the invention may be used in practice. However changes and modifications are possible within the scope and spirit of the invention, and we have therefore particularly defined in the following claims what is considered new and desired to have protected by Letters Patent of the United States;
We claim:
1. In a Roentgen apparatus including a Roentgen tube of the heated cathode type and a high tension transformer, the combination of a separate heating transformer including a core and a secondary winding thereon, a high tension conductor leading from one terminal of the secondary Winding of said high tension transformer to one terminal of the secondary winding of said heating transformer, heating conductors leading from the two terminals of the secondary winding of said heating transformer to the cathode of said tube, a continuous covering of fibrous insulating material applied in the form of a tape wrapping or bandage and covering the secondary winding of the high tension transformer, the said high tension conductor, the secondary winding and core of said heating transformer, and

2. In a Roentgen apparatus including a Roentgen tube of the heated cathode type and a high tension transformer, the combination of a core and secondary winding for a heating transformer positioned at a point between said tube and high tension transformer, conductors extending from the terminals of said secondary winding to the cathode of said tube, a conductor extending from the secondary winding of said high tension transformer to one of said first mentioned conductors, a continuous covering of insulating material enclosing all said conductors, said covering including a projecting branch portion which encloses the said core and secondary winding of said heating transformer, and a primary winding for said heating transformer surrounding the said branch of the covering at the point where it encloses the said core and secondary winding.
3. In a Roentgen apparatus including a Roentgen tube'of the heated cathode type and a high tension transformer, the combination of a heating transformerincluding a core and a secondary winding, conductors for connecting the secondary windings of said transformers with the cathode of said tube, a continuous covering of insulating material enclosing both secondary win-dings and said conductors, and a ring-shaped primary winding for said heating transformer adapted to be positioned outside the said covering where it encloses the core and secondary winding of the heating transformer, said primary winding being of such dimensions that it cannot be slipped over the tube or the high tension transformer and the said covering having. a projecting branch portion in which the said core and secondary winding are located, whereby the said primary winding can be brought into the proper relation to such parts by slipping it over said projecting branch portion.
4. In a Roentgen apparatus which includes a Roentgen tube of the heated cathode type and a high tension transformer, the combination of a core and secondary winding of a heating transformer, conductors extending from said winding to the cathode of said tube, a continuous wrapping of insulating material forming a covering for the said core and secondary winding and all portions of said conductors between the said winding and tube, a conductor connecting said high tension transformer with said secondary winding and also enclosed in said covering, and a primary winding for said heating transformer surrounding the said covering at the point where it encloses the said core and secondary winding. 5. In a Roentgen apparatus which includes a Roentgen tube of the heated cathode type and a high tension transformer, the combination. of a core and secondary winding of a heating transformer, conductors extending from said winding to thecathode of said tube, a conductor extending from said high tension transformer to one of said first mentioned-conductora a covering of insulating material for-said conductors, said covering comprising a continuous wrapping of tape material and including an enlarged offset portion which encloses said core and secondary winding, and a removable primary Windingsurrounding the said enlarged portion of said covering.
