IMPROVEMENT IN CASES FOR WRITING-TABLETS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No- 209, l17, dated October 29, 1878; application filed July 20, 1878.
useful Improvement in Cases for Writin g-Tablets, being a device for putting up and securin g stationery, such as letter-heads, biILheads, &c., of which the following is a specification:
This device consists of a box made in two I sections, A and B, joined together at the back ends by a cloth or leather hinge, which, when closed, has the appearance in form of an ordinary book.
Section A is made as follows: Take a piece of heavy binders board, or other similar material, about one -fourth inch longer and wider than the stationery to be inclosed, to the two sides and one end of which attach, by means of glue or other adhesive substance and stays of cloth, strips of the same material, a a at. These strips should be as wide as the desired depth of the box. For practical use, attach the tablet of stationery with glue or paste to the bottom and end of section B, in such manner as to hold it firmly to its place and allow each sheet to be detached as used.
What I claim is-- The case for holding writing-tablets, consisting of the section A, having rigid side and end pieces a, and the section B, having rigid back pieces a and fractional side pieces b, between which latter fits, the head of the tablet, the two sections being connected by a flexible joint, 0, substantially as described' WILLIAM E.
