A device of the class described comprising a vertically disposed tubular supporting member, a pair of vertically spaced cylindrical surfaces adjacent to and in axial alignment'with said member, said surfaces having openings arranged in alignment, an annular flange below the lower cylindrical surface, a translucent globelike member having an opening, a sleeve extending inside of said globe-like member through said opening and having an outwardly extending flange engaging the outside of said 5 member, a shoulder on the inside of said sleeve adapted to rest against and be supported by said annular flange, an elongate lamp carried by said tubular support and adapted to extend inside of said globe-like member for illuminating the same, a switch for said lamp, and a flexible cable leading from said switch and passing through the openings in said cylindrical surfaces with the outer end thereof in position to be grasped.

A device of the class described comprising a vertically disposed tubular member, an outwardly projecting cylindrical guide in axial alignment with said tubular member, a supporting flange at one end portion of said guide 2 a translucent globe-like member having an opening, an elongate sleeve within said opening, fltting over said cylindrical guide, and in supporting relation to said flange, and a flange on the lower end of said sleeve and engaging the outer side of said globe-like member, said sleeve being disposed entirely within said globe-like member except for said last flange and being rotatable about said guide.
