The sole 14 is comprised of a resiliently deformable material, including but not being limited to rubber or silicone, thereby facilitating the sole 14 to be rolled up for storage. Each of thevamp 16 and thecounter 18 is comprised of a deformable material, including but not being limited to leather or a textile, thereby facilitating each of thevamp 16 and thecounter 18 to lie flat against the sole 14 when the sole 14 is rolled up. The sole 14 hasbasal panel 26 and aperimeter wall 28 extending upwardly from thebasal panel 26; the sole 14 has atoe 30 and aheel 32 and theperimeter wall 28 defines acushion space 34 on the sole 14. - The
vamp 16 has a firstlateral edge 36 and a secondlateral edge 38 each that is each coupled to atop edge 40 of a respective one of a firstlateral side 42 and a secondlateral side 44 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. In this way thevamp 16 forms an arch on the sole 14 when the sole 14 is unrolled. Thevamp 16 has afront edge 46 and arear edge 48 and thefront edge 46 is spaced from thetoe 30 of the sole 14. Furthermore, thefront edge 46 curves upwardly between the firstlateral side 42 and the secondlateral side 44 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 to define a toe opening 50 in thevamp 16. Therear edge 48 curves upwardly between the firstlateral side 42 and the secondlateral side 44 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 to define a foot opening 52 in thevamp 16. - The
counter 18 has alower edge 54 and anupper edge 56 and thelower edge 54 is coupled to thetop edge 40 of each of the firstlateral side 42 and the secondlateral side 44 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. Thelower edge 54 curves around theheel 32 of the sole 14 such that thecounter 18 forms a U-shape. Thecounter 18 extends into the foot opening 52 defined in thevamp 16 having thecounter 18 terminating at a point located between thefront edge 46 and therear edge 48 of thevamp 16. Theupper edge 56 has acentral portion 58 curving between a pair ofoutward portions 60 and thecentral portion 58 is aligned with theheel 32 of the sole 14. Each of theoutward portions 60 is aligned with a respective one of the firstlateral side 42 and the secondlateral side 44 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. Thecentral portion 58 slopes downwardly between each of theoutward portions 60 and anapex 62 of the curvature of theupper edge 56 to enhance extending the user'sfoot 20 into the foot opening 52 in thevamp 16. - A
cushion 64 is integrated into the sole 14 to support the user'sfoot 20 when theuser 22 wears theslipper 12. Thecushion 64 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material, including but not being limited to memory foam or silicone, to enhance comfort for theuser 22. Thecushion 64 has abottom surface 66 that is bonded to atop surface 68 of thebasal panel 26 of the sole 14. Thecushion 64 has aperimeter surface 70 which abuts an inwardly facingsurface 72 of theperimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 along an entire perimeter of the inwardly facingsurface 72 such that thecushion 64 fills thecushion space 34 defined by theperimeter wall 28. - A
storage pouch 74 is included for containing theslipper 12 when theslipper 12 is rolled up to facilitate theuser 22 to transport theslipper 12. Thestorage pouch 74 has anupper end 76 that is open into an interior of thestorage pouch 74. Aclosure 78 is integrated into thestorage pouch 74 and theclosure 78 extends along a full length of theupper end 76 of thestorage pouch 74. Additionally, theclosure 78 is matable to itself for opening or closing theupper end 76. Theclosure 78 may comprise a zipper, a pair of hook and loop fasteners or any other type of mechanical, multiple use closure 78. Aclasp 80 is attached to theupper end 76 of thestorage pouch 74 and theclasp 80 includes agate 82 that is pivotally integrated into theclasp 80. Thegate 82 is biased into a closed position such that theclasp 80 forms a closed loop. Conversely, thegate 82 is urgeable into an open position such that theclasp 80 forms an open loop to facilitate theclasp 80 to be engaged to an object for suspending thestorage pouch 74 from the object. - In use, as shown in
FIG. 1 , a plurality of theslippers 12 is provided and each of theslippers 12 can be rolled up for storage in thestorage pouch 74. In this way one or more pairs ofslippers 12 can be transported in a compact and convenient manner to serve as an emergency replacement for wet or damaged slippers. Theuser 22 can simply un-roll a pair of theslippers 12 to facilitate theslippers 12 to be worn at any time and at any location and for any reason. Thus, theuser 22 can be prepared for nearly any circumstances as well as to carry back-upslippers 12 when theuser 22 wishes to be barefoot 20. - With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, device and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
- Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
