There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
  • The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
  • The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
  • FIG. 1 is an isometric perspective view of a temperature controlled seating assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 2 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 4 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 5 is a bottom view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • FIG. 6 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new seating assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.
  • As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6 , the temperature controlled seating assembly 10 generally comprises an enclosure 12, which has a seating unit 14 positioned therein and a heating and cooling unit 16 engaged thereto. The enclosure 12 comprises a frame 18, which has a plurality of panels 20 engaged thereto to define an interior space 22. The frame 18 is substantially rectangularly box shaped. The panels 20 are substantially transparent, thus allowing users inside the enclosure 12 to view events occurring outside of the enclosure 12, and persons proximate to the enclosure 12 to see inside the enclosure 12.
  • The enclosure 12 has an opening 24 positioned in a front 26 thereof. The opening 24 is configured to allow users to enter and to exit the enclosure 12. A door 28 is engaged to the frame 18 and is configured to selectively close the opening 24. The door 28 is substantially transparent.
  • The seating unit 14 is configured to seat multiple users. The seating unit 14 may comprise a bench 30, which is coupled to the frame 18 and extends from a back 32 of the enclosure 12. The bench 30 extends from proximate to opposed ends 34 of the enclosure 12. As shown in FIG. 6 , the bench 30 is configured to seat multiple users, such as the eight athletes pictured. The present invention anticipates the seating unit 14 comprising other seating means, such as chairs, stools, and the like.
  • The plurality of panels 20 comprises a roof panel 36, which is pitched toward the back 32 of the enclosure 12 and thus configured to shed water. The frame 18 has a 10 plurality of holes 38 positioned therein, proximate to the roof panel 36 and the back 32 of the enclosure 12. The holes 38 are configured to drain water from the roof panel 36.
  • The heating and cooling unit 16 is configured to control a temperature within the enclosure 12, thus allowing the users, such as the athletes pictured in FIG. 6 , to rest in a temperature controlled environment. The heating and cooling unit 16 may be engaged to the frame 18 proximate to the roof panel 36, or may be alternatively positioned, such as, but not limited to, proximate to the front 26 of the enclosure 12 and the roof panel 36, and between the seating unit 14 and a bottom 40 of the enclosure 12. The present invention anticipates the heating and cooling unit 16 being electrically powered by at least one of a battery and a connection to an electrical circuit.
  • A floor covering 42 may be engaged to the bottom 40 the enclosure 12 and positioned in the interior space 22. The floor covering 42 may comprise artificial turf, thus allowing for a smooth transition from a playing surface comprising artificial turf to the enclosure 12.
  • A plurality of hooks 44 is engaged to the frame 18 and is positioned within the interior space 22. The hooks 44 are configured to hang articles, such as gear used, or worn, by athletes. A mounting device 46 is engaged to the frame 18 and is positioned within the interior space 22. The mounting device 46 is configured to mount at least one of a monitor and a television, thus allowing users who are utilizing the enclosure 12 to view events, such as live action on the playing surface, replays, and the like.
  • A plurality of wheels 48 is engaged to the frame 18 and projects from the bottom 40 of the enclosure 12. The plurality of wheels 48 is configured for locomotion of the enclosure 12, allowing it to be repositioned, such as from one point to another along a sideline of the playing surface.
  • In use, the enclosure 12 is positioned in a desired location by rolling it into place upon the plurality of wheels 48. The heating and cooling unit 16 is set to a desired temperature. Users then enter and exit the enclosure 12 through the opening 24 and can rest upon the bench 30 in a temperature controlled environment.
  • With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
  • Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the elements is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
