Abstract

The Air Sport bag provides the user with a neat, convenient way to air out their sweaty sports gear. The Air Sport bag functions just like a regular sports bag in that it can be used to carry the equipment to games and home again. The new part about the Air Sport is that it can be zipped open. When zipped open the Air Sport can be propped up on a foldable, attachable plastic post or hung up by its hanger. Once this is done the gear, including helmet, shoulder pads, pants, kneepads and elbow pads may be hung on separate removable plastic hooks. Thus the Air Sport unfolds, hangs up the gear and allows it to air our more effectively and provides a convenient, organized means to do so.

Description

  • This is a continuation of Application No. 61/452,636 filed on Mar. 14, 2011.
  • BACK GROUND Prior Art
  • Typically sports gear was left to air out inside the bag. This was inefficient and left the bag permanently stinky. Some people may air their equipment out on the ground. The problem with this is it takes up to much space and is un-organized.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The Air Sport provides a solution to both the above problems, by providing a neat, convenient and effective solution to stinky wet gear. This airing out process is new and allows the gear to dry and smell better. You simply zip open the bag, prop it up on its stand or hang it by its hook. You then place your gear on the removable plastic hooks and leave it to dry and air out.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is the bag closed.
  • FIG. 2A is the Air Sport Opened, on its stand.
  • FIG. 2B is the Air Sport with hanging gear.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is the closed Air Sport from a 45 degree angle looking down on it from the right. This figure shows us the strap, the pouches and most importantly how the zippers are located on the bag for opening the Air Sport bag. FIG. 2A shows us the Air Sport opened with a direct frontal view. This figure shows us the hanger and removable plastic stand. It also shows us the removable plastic hooks for gear. We can also see how the zipper is located and how it would zip up to completely close the bag, with equal parts being shown to allow the bag to close properly. FIG. 2B shows us a frontal view of the opened Air Sport bag with gear hanging. We also note the stink leaving.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
  • To use the Air Sport bag one must first unzip the central zipper in the middle of the bag running length-wise. This allows one to fill and empty the bag of gear, like a regular bag. The zippers located at the top and bottom of the bag allow the bag to be zipped open. Of course the interior of the bag would have to be supported with plastic along all of the edges to provide support for the bag when it is opened. When making the bag a plastic spine would have to be included along the edges of the bag to provide support. Once the bag is open one may hang it with the hanger or attach it to our plastic support post. What makes the Air Sport unique is its ability to open and neatly and effectively store gear to air out.
