Abstract
A container apparatus for a paintball is disclosed, where the container apparatus is designed to house a barrel locking apparatus of this invention.
Description
- This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/069,768, filed 1 Mar. 200, which is a continuation-in-part of U.S.patent application Ser. No. 10/862,005, filed Jun. 4, 2004.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a paintball gun or marker barrel locking end cap apparatus and a container therefor.
- More particularly, the present invention relates to a paintball gun or marker barrel locking end cap apparatus, where the apparatus includes a cylindrical barrel end insert, a paintball penetrator disposed within an interior of the insert, and an outer barrel engaging and locking assemblage having retention straps attached thereto. The present invention also relates to a paintball gun or marker barrel locking end cap apparatus, where the apparatus includes an outer barrel engaging and locking assemblage having a paintball penetrator disposed on an interior, distal surface of the assemblage, optionally a plurality of vents disposed on the distal end of the assemblage, a plurality of barrel engaging members or fingers and a threaded tightener adapted to tighten or loosen a locking force between the members and an outer surface of the barrel and optionally a stop. The present invention also relates to a container for the second barrel locking apparatus.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Inadvertent firing or discharging of a paintball from a paintball gun or marker is a serious safety problem facing users, spectators and innocent bystanders. Although many barrel adaptors or condoms have been designed and introduced into the market, these devices are capable of being easily detached removing any protection that the devices afforded prior to detachment.
- Thus, there is a need in the art for an improved barrel plug or condom for use with paintball guns or markers to improve safety and lessen the chance of inadvertent detachment of the device and a container for the condom type barrel locking apparatus.
- The present invention provides a paintball gun or marker barrel locking end cap including an internal barrel portion comprising a cylindrical barrel plug insert having an inwardly extending paintball penetrating member disposed therein and one or a plurality of vents leading from an interior of the barrel to an exterior of the end cap. The vents are designed to exhaust any gases from an inadvertent firing or discharging of the gun or marker and to exhaust any paint from a paintball after the paintball has been punctured by the penetrating member. The end cap also includes an external portion comprising an outer barrel surface engaging assembly designed to surround an outer portion of the barrel near an end of the barrel, where the engaging assembly includes an outer barrel engaging and securing or locking member with a locking force that is sufficient to make removal with out loosening difficult. The outer barrel member of the engaging assembly is designed to engage the outer portion of the barrel with sufficient force that the end cap cannot be removed without reducing an engaging force by untightening the outer barrel member.
- The present invention provides a paintball gun or marker barrel locking end cap including an outer barrel engaging and locking assemblage having a paintball penetrator disposed on an interior, distal surface of the assemblage and optionally a plurality of vents disposed at or near the distal end of the assemblage. The assemblage also includes a plurality of barrel engaging members or fingers and a threaded tightener sleeve adapted to tighten or loosen a locking force between the members and an outer surface of the barrel and optionally a stop adapted to stop the tightener at a certain position when fully untightened. Alternatively, the opened end of the assemblage can be slotted so that when the tightening sleeve is tightened in forces an inner surface of the opened end into frictional contact with an end of a barrel of a paintball gun. The tube or its members are designed to engage an outer surface of a paintball barrel with a locking force that is sufficient to make removal without loosening difficult to very difficult, where difficult means that a child or young adult would not have sufficient strength to remove the end cap and very difficult means that a normal adult would also be unable to remove the end cap.
- The present invention provides a method for preventing inadvertent paintball discharges from a paintball gun or mark including the step of inserting an internal barrel portion of a locking barrel end cap into an end of a barrel of a paintball gun or marker, where the internal barrel portion comprises a cylindrical barrel plug insert having an inwardly extending paintball penetrating member disposed therein and one or a plurality of vents leading from an interior of the barrel to an exterior of the end cap. The vents are designed to exhaust any gases from an inadvertent firing or discharging of the gun or marker and to exhaust any paint from a paintball after the paintball has been punctured by the penetrating member. After inserting the internal portion into the barrel end, an external portion is tightened about a portion of the barrel near the barrel end with sufficient engaging force that the end cap cannot be removed unless the external portion is loosened or untightened, where the external portion comprises an outer barrel surface engaging member designed to surround an outer portion of the barrel near an end of the barrel. The external portion of the barrel end cap apparatus can be integral with, affixed to or detachably affixed to the internal portion of the barrel end cap.
- Container
- The present invention provides a barrel locking container apparatus including a cylindrical body having an upper portion having a first diameter and an opened end having a lid, a lower portion having a second diameter and a closed end, and an attachment assembly, where the container is designed to house and hold an external barrel locking apparatus and the attachment assembly is mounted on the body and is designed to detachably attach the apparatus to a belt, harness, article of clothing or other user associated article.
- The present invention also provides a cylindrical apparatus including an upper portion having a first diameter and an opened end having a lid, a lower portion having a second diameter and a closed end, and an attachment assembly, where the container is designed to house and hold an external barrel locking apparatus and the attachment assembly mounted on the body and is designed to detachably attach the apparatus to a belt, harness, article of clothing or other user associated article, where the first diameter is greater than the second diameter.
- The present invention provides a cylindrical apparatus including an opened end having a lid, a closed end, an diameter reducing insert, and an attachment assembly, where the container is designed to house and hold a barrel locking apparatus of this invention and the attachment assembly mounted on the body and is designed to detachably attach the apparatus to a belt, harness, article of clothing or other user associated article, and where the first and second diameters are the same.

FIG. 6E depicts a cross-sectional view of another container apparatus for the barrel locking apparatus of FIGS. 5A-H. - The inventors have found that a barrel end cap can be constructed that includes an internal portion having a paintball an inwardly extending penetration member and a plurality of aperture leading from the barrel interior to the exterior of the end cap. The end cap also includes an external part having a securing or locking assembly that is designed to engage an exterior surface of the barrel with sufficient force to prevent the cap from being inadvertently detaching from the barrel.
- The present invention broadly relates to a paintball gun or marker locking end cap apparatus including an internal portion having a barrel insert including a paintball penetrating device extending from an interior of the insert towards a barrel end of the insert and one or a plurality of vents allowing materials to flow from an interior of the barrel to the surroundings. The penetrating device is designed to rupture any paintball inadvertently fired or discharged by the paintball gun or marker and the vent or vents are designed to exhaust any gases or paint from an inadvertent firing or discharging of the paintball gun or marker. The end cap apparatus also includes an external portion including a barrel engaging assembly, where the barrel engaging assembly is designed to engage an outer portion of the barrel near the barrel end with sufficient force so that the end cap cannot be removed without first untightening or unlocking the barrel engaging assembly.
- The present invention also broadly relates to a container apparatus for holding a paintball gun or marker barrel locking apparatus including a cylindrical body having an opened end, a closed end, a lid pivotally mounted on the opened end and an attachment assembly.
- Referring now to FIGS. 1A-D, a preferred embodiment of a paintball gun end cap apparatus, generally 100, is shown to include an
internal portion 110 and anexternal portion 150. Theinternal portion 110 includes a cylindricalbarrel plug insert 112 having apaintball penetrating member 114 comprising an inwardly pointingspike 116 having a pointedtip 118 and a plurality ofvents 120. The penetratingmember 114 is designed to rupture any paintball inadvertently fired or discharged from a paint ball gun (not shown) as it travels down abarrel 122 toward the penetratingmember 114. Thevents 120 are designed to exhaust any gases or fluid generated from an inadvertent firing or discharging of a paintball and rupturing of the paintball as it encounters the penetratingmember 114. - The
external portion 150 includescap portion 152 and a cylindrical outer barrel engaging portion 154 including two opposingslits 156 and a tighteningassembly 158 associated with eachslit 156. Theassembly 158 is designed to generate a sufficient engaging force against aportion 160 of thebarrel 122 so that the apparatus cannot be removed without untightening theassembly 158. The tighteningassembly 158 includes abase 162, aguide block 164, a threadedblock 166 and a threadedwing nut 168, where the wing nut 168 (or any other threaded bolt that can be tightened using a user's finger) is inserted through anaperture 170 in theguide block 162 and into a threadedaperture 172 in the threadedblock 166 so that by screwing thewing nut 168 into the threadedaperture 172, theslit 156 is narrowed or closed generating the engaging force. Additionally, thebarrel 122 can include a groove (not shown) into which a tab (not shown) on the inside of the outer barrel engaging portion 154 fits to further secure theapparatus 100 to thebarrel 122. Theapparatus 100 also includesstraps 174 and strap blocks 176 affixed to thecap portion 152, where thestraps 174 are designed to prevent theend cap apparatus 100 from being lost from the gun when not in use. Thestraps 174 generally are tied to the gun at their other ends. - Looking at
FIG. 1C , theapparatus 100 includes two opposingslits 156 having associated tighteningassemblies 158, one for eachslit 156. Looking atFIG. 1D , theapparatus 100 includes asingle slit 156 having an associated tighteningassembly 158. - Referring now to FIGS. 2A-C, another preferred embodiment of a paintball gun end cap apparatus, generally 200, is shown to include an
internal portion 210 and anexternal portion 250. Theinternal portion 210 includes a cylindricalbarrel plug insert 212 having apaintball penetrating member 214 comprising an inwardly pointingspike 216 having a pointedtip 218 and a plurality ofvents 220. It should be recognized that although a single penetratingmember 214 is shown, a plurality of such members could also be used. The penetratingmember 214 is designed to rupture any paintball inadvertently fired or discharged from a paint ball gun (not shown) as it travels down a barrel 222 toward the penetratingmember 214. Thevents 220 are designed to exhaust any gases or fluid generated from an inadvertent firing or discharging of a paintball and rupturing of the paintball as it encounters the penetratingmember 214. - The
external portion 250 includescap portion 252 and a slotted cylindrical outerbarrel engaging portion 254 including a plurality ofslots 256 separating a plurality ofbarrel engaging members 258 having tightening ring supports 260. The engagingportion 254 also includes atightening ring 262 having a tighteningassembly 264 associated therewith supported on the ring supports 260. Theassembly 264 is designed to tighten thetightening ring 262 generating a sufficient engaging force against aportion 266 of the barrel 222 so that the apparatus cannot be removed without untightening theassembly 264. The tighteningassembly 264 includes aguide block 268, a threadedblock 270 and a threadedwing nut 272, where the wing nut 272 (or any other threaded bolt that can be tightened using a user's finger) is inserted through anaperture 274 in theguide block 268 and into a threadedaperture 276 in the threadedblock 270 so that by screwing thewing nut 272 into the threadedaperture 276, the engagingmembers 258 are forced towards each other closing theslots 256 generating the engaging force. Additionally, the barrel 222 can include a groove into which a tab on the inside of the outerbarrel engaging portion 254 fits to further secure theapparatus 200 to the barrel 222. Theapparatus 200 also includesstraps 278 and strap blocks 280 affixed to thecap portion 252, where thestraps 278 are designed to prevent theend cap apparatus 200 from being lost from the gun when not in use. Thestraps 278 generally are tied to the gun at their other ends. Looking atFIG. 2D , the tighteningring 262 is shown separated clearly showing that theguide block 268 and the threadedblock 270 comprise opposing ends 282 of the tighteningring 262. - Referring now to FIGS. 3A-C, another preferred embodiment of a paintball gun end cap apparatus, generally 300, is shown to is shown to include an
internal portion 310 and anexternal portion 350. Theinternal portion 310 includes a largercylindrical cap portion 311 and a smallercylindrical barrel insert 312 and apaintball penetrating member 314 comprising an inwardly pointingspike 316 having a pointedtip 318 and a plurality ofvents 320. The penetratingmember 314 extends inward from across-beam 315. It should be recognized that although a single penetratingmember 314 is shown, a plurality of such members could also be used. The penetratingmember 314 is designed to rupture any paintball inadvertently fired or discharged from a paint ball gun (not shown) as it travels down a barrel 322 toward the penetratingmember 314. Thevents 320 are designed to exhaust any gases or fluid generated from an inadvertent firing or discharging of a paintball and rupturing of the paintball as it encounters the penetratingmember 314. Thecap portion 311 includes twoprotrusions 324 designed to engage apertures on theexternal portion 350. - The
external portion 350 includes two C-shapedbarrel engaging members 352, eachmember 352 including avertical post 354 having anaperture 356 designed to engage theprotrusions 324 so that themembers 352 hang from theprotrusions 324. Each C-shapedbarrel engaging member 352 includes afirst end 358 having aguide block 360 including aguide aperture 362 therethrough extending outwardly therefrom. Each C-shapedbarrel engaging member 352 also includes asecond end 364 having a threadedblock 366 including a threadedaperture 368 therethrough extending outwardly therefrom, where the threadedaperture 368 is designed to engage a wing nut (not shown) or other hand tightenable threaded member. - Referring now to
FIG. 4 , another preferred embodiment of a paintball gun end cap apparatus, generally 400, is shown to include aninternal portion 410 and anexternal portion 450. Theinternal portion 410 includes a largercylindrical cap portion 411 and a smallercylindrical barrel insert 412 and apaintball penetrating member 414 comprising an inwardly pointingspike 416 having a pointedtip 418 and further comprising a plurality ofvents 420. The penetratingmember 414 extends inward from a top 413 of the largercylindrical cap portion 411. It should be recognized that although a single penetratingmember 414 is shown, a plurality of such members could also be used. The penetratingmember 414 is designed to rupture any paintball inadvertently fired or discharged from a paint ball gun (not shown) as it travels down a barrel (not shown) toward the penetratingmember 414. Thevents 420 are designed to exhaust any gases or fluid generated from an inadvertent firing or discharging of a paintball and rupturing of the paintball as it encounters the penetratingmember 414. Thecap portion 411 includes twoprotrusions 424 designed to engage apertures on theexternal portion 450. - The
external portion 450 includes two C-shaped barrel engaging members 452, each member 452 including avertical post 454 having anaperture 456 designed to engage theprotrusions 424 so that the members 452 hang from theprotrusions 424. Each C-shaped barrel engaging member 452 includes afirst end 458 having aguide block 460 including aguide aperture 462 therethrough extending outwardly therefrom. Each C-shaped barrel engaging member 452 also includes asecond end 464 having a threadedblock 466 including a threadedaperture 468 therethrough extending outwardly therefrom, where the threadedaperture 468 is designed to engage awing nut 470 or other hand tightenable threaded member. - Although several locking assemblies have been shown for securing the end cap apparatuses of this invention to an end of a paintball barrel, other locking assemblies can also be used and are considered equivalents of the threaded connectors shown above. For example, the locking assembly could comprise a clamping device with a release such as a vice-grip, the C-shaped members could have clips or pins, or the ring could be a slotted band with a tightening screw. These and other tightening assemblies can be used equivalently in the barrel end caps of this invention.
- Referring now to FIGS. 5A-C, a preferred embodiment of a closed ended tubular barrel engaging and locking assembly of this invention, generally 500, is shown to include a
tube 502 having an openedend 504 and aclosed end 506. Theassembly 500 also includes asleeve type tightener 508 having a top 510, a bottom 512 and a inner threadedregion 514. The tube ortubular member 502 also includes a plurality ofvents 516 disposed at or near theclosed end 506, where near means within about 0.75″ of theclosed end 506 and preferably as close to theclosed end 506 as practicable. Thetube 502 also includes a plurality ofbarrel engaging members 518 pivotally mounted within a equal plurality ofapertures 520 disposed near the openedend 504 of thetube 502. Thetube 502 also includes an outer threadedregion 522. The threadedregion 514 is designed to engage the threadedregion 522, when thetightener 508 is turned thetightener 508 either to tighten or loosen thetightener 508. - Looking at FIGS. 5C&D, the engaging
members 518 are in the shape of a triangular solid and includerubber pads 524 disposed on theirinner surfaces 526 for frictionally engaging a barrel 528 of a paintball gun (not shown) as shown inFIG. 5B . Eachmember 518 includes agroove 530 and two raised trapezoid shapedportion 532 disposed one eachside 534 of themember 518. Eachaperture 520 includes atongue 536 adapted to engage thegroove 530 so that themember 518 can pivot on thetongue 536. Eachaperture 520 also includes a trapezoid shapedgroove 538 adapted to engage theportion 532 so that themember 518 can pivot in a guided manner relative to thetongue 536. - The
tube 502 also includes apaintball penetrator 540 having atip 542, where thepenetrator 540 is disposed on aninner surface 544 of theclosed end 506 and is designed to rupture any paintball impinging on thetip 542. Thetube 502 can also includepenetrator reinforcing members 546. Thetube 502 can also include apenetrator protector 548 disposed on thepenetrator 532 near itstip 542. Thetube 502 can also includes a plurality of radially disposed grooves 550. The sleeve tighter 508 can also included a longitudinally extending ribbed pattern 552 for easy of turning. - Looking at FIGS. 5E&F, the
assembly 500 is shown to also includes apenetrator protector 554 including a raised top portion 556 and an aperture therethrough 558 adapted to mount theprotector 554 on thepentrator 540. Theprotector 554 is shown here to be in the shape of a twelve sided polygon havingconvex surfaces 560 andconcave surfaces 562 and is preferably made out of metal such as aluminum and is designed to take a majority of force of a paintball impinging on the penetrator. ooking at FIGS. 5E&F, theassembly 500 is shown to also includes apenetrator protector 564. Theprotector 564 is also shown here to be in the shape of a twelve sided polygon withconvex surfaces 566 andconcave surfaces 568 and is preferably made out rubber. Although theprotectors - Referring now to
FIG. 6A , a first preferred embodiment of a container apparatus for storing abarrel locking device 500 of FIGS. 5A-H of this invention, generally 600, is shown to include abody 602 having an openedtop end 604 and a closedbottom end 606. Theapparatus 600 also includes a snap onlid 608 pivotally mounted to amount 610 attached or affixed to or integral with an exterior surface 612 of thetop end 604 of theapparatus 600. Theapparatus 600 also includes aninsert 614 to reduce a diameter of theapparatus 600 to conform to thebarrel locking device 500 of FIGS. 5A-H. Theapparatus 600 also includes anattachment assembly 616 designed to allow theapparatus 600 to be attached to a belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event. Theattachment assembly 616 includes anattachment mount 618 attached to or affixed to or integral with theapparatus 600 near thetop end 604 thereof. Mounted on theattachment mount 618 is asnap connector 620. Thesnap connector 620 is designed to engage a snap connector on the belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event (not shown). In this figure, thesnap connector 620 is shown as a female connector, but could equally well be a male snap connector. - Referring now to
FIG. 6B , another preferred embodiment of a container apparatus for storing abarrel locking device 500 ofFIG. 5A -H of this invention, generally 600, is shown to include abody 602 having an openedtop end 604, a closedbottom end 606, anupper section 622 and alower section 624. Theapparatus 600 also includes a snap onlid 608 pivotally mounted to amount 610 attached or affixed to or integral with an exterior surface 612 of thetop end 604 of theupper section 622. Theupper section 622 has a first diameter, while thelower section 624 has a second diameter, where the first diameter is larger than the second diameter to conform to the shape of the barrel locking device of FIGS. 5A-H. Theapparatus 600 also includes a cushioningmember 625 designed to stop and cushion theapparatus 500 when it is dropped into theapparatus 600. Theapparatus 600 also includes anattachment assembly 616 designed to allow theapparatus 600 to be attached to a belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event. Theattachment assembly 616 includes a hook-and-loop member 626 attached to or affixed to thebody 602 near its top 604. The hook-and-loop member 620 is designed to engage a complementary hook-and-loop member on the belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event (not shown). - Referring now to FIGS. 6C-E, three other preferred embodiments of a container apparatus for storing a
barrel locking device 500 ofFIG. 5A -H of this invention, generally 600, is shown to include abody 602 having an openedtop end 604, a closedbottom end 606, anupper section 622, amiddle section 628 and alower section 624. Theapparatus 600 also includes a snap onlid 608 pivotally mounted to amount 610 attached or affixed to or integral with an exterior surface 612 of thetop end 604 of theupper section 616. Theupper section 622 has a first diameter; themiddle section 628 has a third diameter; and thelower section 624 has a second diameter, where the first diameter is larger than the third diameter which is larger than the second diameter to conform to the shape of thebarrel locking device 500 of FIGS. 5A-H. Theapparatus 600 also includes a cushioningmember 625 designed to stop and cushion theapparatus 500 when it is dropped into theapparatus 600. Theapparatus 600 also includes anattachment assembly 616 designed to allow theapparatus 600 to be attached to a belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event. - Looking at
FIG. 6C , theattachment assembly 616 includes anattachment mount 618 attached to or affixed to or integral with theapparatus 600 near thetop end 604 thereof. Mounted on theattachment mount 618 is aclip 630. Theclip 630 includes anon-movable member 632 having apad 634 affixed to itslower portion 636 thereof. Theclip 630 also includes amovable member 638 having asecond pad 640 affixed to itslower portion 642 thereof. Theclip 630 also includes a connectingmember 644 pivotally connecting themovable member 638 to thenon-movable member 632. Theclip 630 also includes aspring member 646 mounted on the connectingmember 644. When themovable member 638 is pushed toward thebody 602, then thelower portion 642 of themovable member 638 moves away from thelower portion 636 of thenon-movable member 632 producing a gap between the twopads pads - Looking at
FIG. 6D , theattachment assembly 616 includes anattachment mount 618 attached to or affixed to or integral with theapparatus 600 near thetop end 604 thereof. Mounted on theattachment mount 618 is amagnetic strip 648 designed to engage an oppositely polled magnetic strip on the belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event (not shown). - Looking at
FIG. 6E , theattachment assembly 616 includes anattachment mount 618 attached to or affixed to or integral with theapparatus 600 near thetop end 604 thereof. Mounted on theattachment mount 618 ispin clip 650 including apin 652 and apin engaging member 654, where thepin 652 is designed to be pushed through the belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event (not shown) and thepin engaging member 654 is designed to engage thepin 652 affixing thecontainer apparatus 600 to the belt, harness, article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user would carry with him/her in a paintball event. - All references cited herein are incorporated by reference. While this invention has been described fully and completely, it should be understood that, within the scope of the appended claims, the invention may be practiced otherwise than as specifically described. Although the invention has been disclosed with reference to its preferred embodiments, from reading this description those of skill in the art may appreciate changes and modification that maybe made which do not depart from the scope and spirit of the invention as described above and claimed hereafter.
Claims (15)
1. A container apparatus for a locking paintball barrel engaging and locking apparatus comprising:
a cylindrical body including:
an opened top end,
a closed bottom end, and
a lid pivotally mounted on the top end of the body, and
an attachment assembly mounted near the top end of the body,
where the lid is designed close the container apparatus, and the attachment assembly is designed to allow the container apparatus to be detachably attached to a belt, a harness, an article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user has with him/her.
2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises a snap connector.
3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises a hook-and-loop member.
4. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprise a clip.
5. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises a magnetic strip.
6. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises a pin clip.
7. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a snap connector mounted on the attachment member mounted on the attachment member.
8. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises the attachment assembly comprises an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a hook-and-loop member mounted on the attachment member.
9. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprise the attachment assembly comprises an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a clip mounted on the attachment member, where the clip includes a movable member, a non-movable member, a connecting member and a spring member.
10. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises the attachment assembly comprises an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a magnetic strip mounted on the attachment member.
11. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the attachment assembly comprises the attachment assembly comprises the attachment assembly comprises an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a pin clip mounted on the attachment member, where the pin clip includes a pin and a pin engaging member.
12. A container apparatus for a locking paintball barrel engaging and locking apparatus comprising:
a cylindrical body including:
an opened top end,
a closed bottom end, and
a lid pivotally mounted on the top end of the body, and
an attachment assembly mounted near the top end of the body, where the attachment assembly includes a connector,
where the lid is designed close the container apparatus, and the connector is designed to allow the container apparatus to be detachably attached to a belt, a harness, an article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user has with him/her
13. The apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the connector is selected from the group consistein a snap connector, a magnetic member, a hook-and-loop member, a clip, and a pin clip.
14. A container apparatus for a locking paintball barrel engaging and locking apparatus comprising:
a cylindrical body including:
an opened top end,
a closed bottom end, and
a lid pivotally mounted on the top end of the body, and
an attachment assembly mounted near the top end of the body, where the attachment assembly includes an attachment member attached to, affixed to or integral with the body and a connector mounted on the attachment member,
where the lid is designed close the container apparatus, and the connector is designed to allow the container apparatus to be detachably attached to a belt, a harness, an article of clothing or any other article that a paintball user has with him/her
15. The apparatus of claim 14 , wherein the connector is selected from the group consistein a snap connector, a magnetic member, a hook-and-loop member, a clip, and a pin clip.
