and more particularly the invention has ref-- erence to a novel automobile headlight con struction.
The principal object of this inventlon 1s to beam of light projected by the reflector" will be cast upon the roadway in advance of the automobile andin such a manner as to eliminate any glaring rays above the imaginary line of vision for. drivers of approachingautomobiles.
Another object of the invention is to provide a headlight construction wherein the .varying conditions.
Another object of the invention 1s to provide a dimmer for headlights wherein the dimmer may be readily removed for the purposeof repair or replacement.

Referring to the drawings wherein like numerals designate like parts, the invention includes a casing 3 open at one end and reduced and inclined upwardly from a point described and of the upper 4. The open end portion of the casing 3 is bent backwardlyas at 5 and then inwardly to provide a circumferentially extending flange 6.
