I do hereby declare that the following-is a full, clear, and exact description of theiconstructionand operation of thesame, reference beinghad to the annexed drawings, making a part of thisfspecification, and to the letters and figures of reference marked theredn.

The raised andcurved bar b servesfto raise thehandle to the proper height above the comb-back, and the knockers a enable the operator to clear'the comb from itsimpurities. I sometimes prefer to cast a tang upon my frame, to receive andhold a wooden handle. Sucha modification is-shown on Fig. 6 of the drawings.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
