The object of the present invention is to provide an improved container for face creams, ointments and like semi-liquid materials, which is clean in use and prevents waste.
The invention relates to that type of container for a semi-liquid material which is made in two parts screwing with relation 'to each other, and thereby forcing the semiliquid material out through an aperture in one of the parts. Such containers are usually provided with a lid or cover.
According to the present invention I employ a plunger which is adapted to screw down into the box and the said plunger is provided with a comparatively small aperture therethrough so that when it is screwed with relation to the body of the boX the semi-liquid material contained within the body will be forced outV through the aperture in the plunger into cup in the outer end of said plunger. The plunger is covered by a detachable lid which preterably fits by friction down lon to a shoulder upon the body of the boX in lrnown manner. The plunger is preferably formed with a flange at its outer end which flange is integral with the plunger and it may be lrnurled to enable the plunger to be more readily rotated. This lrnurling 'forms short radial projections or linger grips arranged around the outer periphery ot said cup.

ln the modification shown in Fig. 4 the plunger e has a small aperture g from end to end thereof which leads into a cup g in the end of the plunger. It the plunger is made suhciently long it is possible to force out the whole of the contents of the body a ofthe box. llfhen the body a of the box is rehlled any semi-liquid material remaining in the aperture through the plunger e will be first eX- pelled for use, thus ensuring always a fresh supply ot the material for toilet purposes.
ln the modification shown in Figs. 5 and 6 the body a otq the box is flatter than shown in Figs. l, 2 yand 4 and the pluno'er e is conical and is provided with wings z', z on its upper surface which enable it to be readily rotated. The wings t', z' are formed integral with the plunger e and the aperture g leads into a cup g located between the inner ends of the wings z', z'.
l/Vhat I claimI as my invention is 1. A container for semi-liquid materials, said container comprising a hollow cylindrical receptacle open at its upper end and having its inner cylindrical wall threaded from top to bottom7 a plunger threaded into the inner cylindrical wall of said hollow receptacle, said plunger *being provided with an axial aperture extending outwardly from an inwardly-presented wall thereof, and with a cup in an outwardly-presented wall thereof into which the outer end of said aperture discharges, and finger grips carried by said plunger, said finger grips beingarranged around the outer periphery of said Cup.
2. A container for semi-liquid materials, said container comprising a hollow cylindrical receptacle open at its upper end and having its inner cylindrical wall threaded from top to bottom, a conical disk-like plunger having its apex presented upwardly and with its peripheral edge threaded into the inner Cylindrical wall ot said hollow receptacle, said conical disk-like plunger being provided with an axial aperture extending outwardly from the apex or the inner conical wall of said disk-like plunger and with a cup at the outer end of said aperture, and radial wings or linger grips extending outwardly from the outer periphery of said cup.
