The strap 13 is inclined forwardly with respect to the plane of the bottom 15 of the protector and is adapted to be positioned between the thumb nail and the thumb joint as clearly shown in Fig. 1.
The outside of the body portion 12 is knurled as indicated at 16 and each section of the knurling is preferably pointed as clearly shown in Fig. 5. The body portion 12 is also preferably provided with a plurality of ventilating apertures 17 which are preferably of a frusto conical shape so that they provide a partial vacuum when pressed against a card or other object.
