The invention relates to covers for toilet seats, and more especially to a protective cover made of paper or the like, and so ar- .ranged that it may be easily and readily 5 slippedupon or removed from the toilet seat much the same as any envelope.` v

The object of the improvement is to provide a cover of this character, formed of a heavy but soft paper or the like, preferably such as is used forpaper towels,` and which may be produced for a small cost and vcan be readily placed in position for use upon a toilet seat, or removed therefrom.

Another object of the inyention is to provide such a seat cover in the general form of an envelope, comprising top and bottom portions joined at their side edges, and also preferably at their front edges, but unjoined at their rear edges, whereby the protective cover maybe easily and quickly slid, from front to rear, upon the ordinary toilet seat, a central opening bein formed in the cover of substantially the size and shape of the usual opening in a toilet seat. A further object is to provide such a cover as above referred to, in flat form so that the same may be placed in quantities in a suitable dispensing receptacle, and easily and conveniently removed therefrom, one at a time, for use.

A still further object is to provide such a cover which is ready for use as soon as slipped in place upon the seat, and requires no tearing or opening of perforations or the like.

Another object is the provision of open corners at the front of the covervto provide a portion which may be easily grasped in the fingers to remove the cover from the seat.

The above and other objects, which will be readily apparent from the following de- ,scrptiom may be attained by constructing the improved seat cover in the manner illus, trated in the accompanying drawing, in

The protective cover, to which the inven tion pertains,

is made in the general form of an envelope of soft but stiff paper or the like,

such as is generally used and the like.

Thus' the cover may be easily and readily slippe thereof, the open rea'r end of the first slipped over the front end 'of the seat cover being and then pushed rearward until it is positioned as shown in the drawing.

, This cover may be shaped .to generally conform to the size and shape of the toilet seat, as best shown in "Fig, 1, and the vtop member may haveithe central opening 17 therein, of substantially the same size and shape as the openin -10 in the seat.

rom t e above it will be obvious that a very simile and inexpensive, protective cover is provi ed, which has suiiiclent rigidity to permit it to be easily and quickly slipped 1nto place upon the seat, but which at the same time 1s suciently soft to cause no discomfort 'or inconvenience, while the cover also fully covers the entire seat, thus effectively protecting the user.

I claim 15 A cover of paper and the like for toilet seats comprising a top member and a bottom member Joined at their side 'edges and un- ]'oined' at their rear` ends so as to permit the, cover to be sli ped upon a toilet seat, the zo front corners of the cover being open to permit the same to be grasped to remove the cover from the toilet seat.`
