This invention .mlates to. a therapeutic .light-radiating appliance of the k:'md provided with means for producing el'ectric induction currents which may either be passed directly through the' human body or be employed for. inducing curre'nts in the same.
The ihvention consists in the combinati0n with a metal cage wherein an eleotric lan1p and an inductior1 coil are enclo sed and wherein the primary of said coil is in series with the lamp, 013 means whereby the secthe elements when the el ctrde of Fig. 2 is attached.
The apparatus has a base composed of a casing 1 which supports an inducti on cil 2 and which is conne'cted by bars 11 120 a ring 11 so as to form a cage. Within this cage an electric lamp 9 is locate. The lamp is mounted in' a holder 8 which is supported on the coil 2 by mean's oi a metal plate 7. A shouldered insulating disc 12 arrangjed within and supported on the ring 11", holds a metal platze 21 between which and 'the platte 7 a semi-cylindrical metal reflectof 22 for the lamp is supported-so as to be in ele'ctric -connection with the' two plafes. The edges of' the plates are raised for the rotention between the Platesofi a cylinder 23 of plain or coloured so 12, which, is held in 'lhe insulating osition on the ring 11 by means of a screw cap 14, supports a screw socket 18 for th e reception of a screw 19 having an insulated head 01 knob 19. About the socket 18 a sleeve 15 is arranged which is slidably guided in the insulating disc 12 and which projec ts beyond th6 top surface of.the latter. A spring 17 supported on the plate 21, bears against a flange 16 on the sleeve 15 and tends to hold said flange against a plat 13 oarriecl by the insulating disc 12. The head of the screw 19 is recessed at 19" so that it can bei screwed o ver the socket'l8 into close contatflil' with the sleeve 15 bat without normall'y deou'red glass c tho plate 11" connected to tho bars 11.
