This invention relates to games and has for an important object thereof the provision of game apparatus requiring skill .1n operation and of such character that it will be relatively amusing. i

A further object of the invention is the provision of game apparatus including a rotatable element divided into value fields and a stationary index for coaction with this field together with a novel and improved means for causing' rotation of the rotatable. element which is both amusing and subject to skillful manipulation.

A. still further and more specific object of the invention is to provide in a vgame of this character apparatus for throwing a projectile against the rotatable element in such fashion as to cause rotation thereof.

These and other objects I attain by the construction shown in the accompanying drawing, wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown a preferred embodiment of my 'invention and wherein Figure 1 is a plan view of game apparatus constructed in accordance with my invention, the apparatus being indicated with the projectile about to engage one of the vanes of the rotary7 element;

Referring now more particularly to the drawing, the numeral 10 indicates a suitable base from which is rotatably supported a disk 11. This disk is subdivided by lines 12 radiating from its axis into the value zones 13, each bearing an indication of its value and preferably a name as Rabbit 50, Fox 100,- etc. The base has a stationary index 14 coacting with the disk for identifying the scoring value zone.

Supported from the base is a projectile tube 15 directed to issue a projectile 16 substantially tangential to the disk. The disk upon its periphery has vanes 17, which when aligned with an index 18 carried by the base, are positioned in the path of the issued projectile to be engaged thereby and by the impulse thus received cause the disk to rotate. The vanes 17 may conveniently be formed by providing projecting tabs upon the periphery of the disk which are bent to form the varies. The ejecting means for the projectile comprises aplunger 19 oper,- ating in the tube, a spring 20 foractuating the plunger, and means for withdrawing the lnnger against the action of thisspring. In t e present instance, the means for 4Withdrawing the plunger comprises a lever 21, one arm of which is constructed in the form of a leg of a mule and a second levery 22, one arm of which is in the form of the head of the mule. These levers are pivoted within a body structure 23 rigidly secured to the base, as at 24, and have the remaining arms thereof overlapped within the body strncture, as indicated at 25. The spring 20 hereinbefore referred to is connected to the second arm of the lever 21 and to a stationary part of the body 23, which preferably forms the front leg structure of the body and has its upper end so positioned as to constitute a stop limiting movement of the lever 22 so that the head is normally properly positioned. i

It will be obvious that when the head forming lever is depressed, the leg forming arm of the lever 21 will be moved outwardly `from the adjacent end of the rojectile tube and at the same time, the spring 20 will be tensioned. Upon the release of the head, the leg structure will force the plunger 19 rapidly into the projectile tube, causing the projectile 16 to issue and engage one of the vanes 17. Obviousl by regulating the tension under which t e lever 21 is placed, the force With which the projectile 16 engages the vane may be regulated and the extent of rotation of the disk determined, so that considerable skill may be developed in playing the game. The players may operate the device in turn and the player making the highest score Wins.

Since the construction hereinbefore set forth is ca able of a certain range of change and modi cation without materrally depart-- ing from the spirit of the invention, I do not limit myself to such s ecic structure except as hereinafter claimed? l. In game apparatus, a base, a disk rotatably supported thereby and subdivided into value zones, a stationary index coacting with the disk for identifying the winning value zone, means for rotating said disk comprising vanes carried by the disk, means carried by the base for issuing a projectile along a fixed `path in which said vanes may be disposed, and means controlling the projectile issuing means operable to vary the speed at Which the projectile is issued.
