The. object of the invention is to provide a novel and simple golf tee form-ed of a single section of metal 01' Wire in a continuous piece having a ball retaining p0rtion or 'ring of square, polygonal or other suitable shape atV the top to'support and retain the golf ball and having underneath, a plurality or pair of spiral 'turnsproviding asymmetrical appearance and also a spring for resiliency, as Well as a shoulder to limit the degree 'which vthe shank may be pressed into the ground and thus-the height of the tee in use, so 'as to give aplayer a set height at all times. f With the above and other objects in View, the invention consistsof certain Ifovel com binations -and'arrangements of parts to be hereinafter more fully described'. While I have described my invention and shown the teev in the preferred form, it is to be understood, as previously stated, that the ball retaining portion may be of other shape and that I am not limited to the useof two, turns or coils or in the exact formations d'escribed so long as such constructions do not depart from't-he spirit and scope of the invention as' claimed.

' Havingthus described my invention, `What I claim' is:

A golf ball'tee comprising a single piece` of Wire bent 'at one end into the form of a 4 cup shaped` receptacle forthe ball', the upper 90 periphery of the cup being of square formation, the remaining portion ofthe cup being of spiral and corneal form.
