While I have shown only the preferred form of the invention, it should. be understood that various changes or modifications may be made within the'scope of the claims hereto attached without departing from the spirit of the invention. I

In its preferred form, my attachment comprises a plate 1' suitably flanged as shbwn at 2 and provided with a reinforcing strip 3 extendirfg lengthwise thereof along its bottom face. A plurality of posts 4 rise from the'top face of the plate in spaced relation and are preferably held inplace by means of screws 6 passing thru the strip 3 and the plate 1 and threaded into the bottom end of the posts.

brackets 8 and 9; the bracket 8 comprising a strip of metal fastened to the bottom face of the strip 3 by means of a: screw 11 and extending forwardly to terminate in the lower ,semi circular section 12 of a clamp adapted to lie against'the underface of the arm 70f the sewing mac-lune, and a second strip of'metal 13 bent into semi-circular form atone end so rises vertically from the point of junction as at 16' and turns to the right as at 17 to form a horizontal bar 18 in front of the posts 4 and slightly higher than the latter.

1. A sewing machine attachment'of the character described, comprising a member having a plurality of spool supporting elements thereon, means vfor supporting the member relative to the arm of a sewing machine, first member and above said spool supporting element, and being formed with thread guiding perforations, a bar supported in front of the cross-member having thread guiding perforations formed therein, and a rest provided on the bar allowing the ends of the threads to be placed thereon in spaced relation.

2. A. sewing machine attachment of the character described, comprising a member having a plurality of spool supporting ele- -ments extending upwardly therefrom, means for supporting the member arm of the sewing machine,

relative to the a cross member supported above SBJdSPOOl supporting elea cross-member supported above the ments and being formed with threadguiding perforations, one for each 'spool supporting element, a bar sup member and of said spool supporting element and having thread guiding perforations formed therein corresponding to the perforations in said cross member; and a rest on said bar adapted to hold the ends of the threads in spaced relation to each other.

A. sewing machine attachment of the character described, comprising a member having a plurality of spool supporting elements extending upwardly therefrom, means for supporting the member relative to the arm of the sewing machine, a cross membersupported above said spool supporting elements and being formed with thread guiding perforations, one for each spool supporting elemerit, a bar supported in front of said cross member and of said spool supporting element and having thread guiding perforations formed therein corresponding to the perforafi tions in said cross member; and a rest having individual seats for each thread, said rest extending upwardly from the bar.
