IMPROVEMENT IN WROUGHT-IRON POSTS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 168,851, dated October 19, 1875 application filed March 23, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LEON SOULERIN, a citizen of France, and a resident of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee, in the State of Wisconsin, have. invented certain Improvements in Posts or Struts, of which the following is a specification:
My invention has for its object the making of a post or strut of metal,for various purposes. This post is made of metal plates and angleirons, or channel-irons, with a bar of metal secured in the corners of the post by rivets passing through the angle-irons, and through the bars of iron in the corners, thus making a post hollow in the center, strong, and firm.
Figure l is an end view of my invention, and Fig. 2 an upright side view of the same.
A A are channel-irons. B B B are plates of sheet metal. 0 O G O O are angle-irons. D D are rivets holding the channel-irons and square riveted together with rivets D, substantially as set forth.
