EAR ORNAMENT.

Application filed November 20, 1925.

This invention relates to articles of ornamental design adapted to be suspended from the ears. The general object contemplate. lengths of ornamental spring wire bent upon itself in such a manner as to form a spring tension against the opposite sides of the ear lobe to support the wire as a whole.

Another object of my invention resides in the construction, arrangement and contorrioning of the respective portions of the wn'e wherein the engagino end portion of the wire fitted upon the opposite sides of the ear lobe are prevented from canting' or sliding sideways with respect to their spaced parallel relation whereby the gripping portions of the clasp will engage the ear lobe at diai'i'ietricaliy opposite sides thereof. A further object of my invention resides in the provision of a spring coil formed at an appropriate point in the length of the w re to pive the desired spring; tension to the gripping portion of the wire.

ll ith the above and other objects in view, the invention further includes the following novel features and details of construction, to be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawing and pointed out in the appended claim.

The invention is susceptible of various changes in its form, proportions and minor details of construction, and the rightis herein reserved to make such changes as properly fall within the scope of the appended claim.

An ear ornament coiuprising a length of wire bent upon itself to provide a spring loop havinsr the ends thereof obliquely disposed thcrefron'r. shoulders inwardly offset from said ends above the loop, a U-shaped kink provided upon one of the ,honlders aoapted to receive the companion shoulder therein, arms projected from theextremities of the shoulders being oppositely converged to dispose the extremities thereof in juxtaposition, and the extremities of the arms being bent upon themselves to provide loop portions upon the opposite sides thereof and within which portions of ear lobes may be held incident to the resiliency afforded by the spring loop. l I
