Description
STA-TES ATEN'I IMPROVEMENT IN CORSET-BOXES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 161.7411, dated April 6, 1875 application filed February 12, 1875.
To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, Mosns K. BORTREE, of Jackson, in the county of Jackson and State of Michigan, have invented an Improved Corset-Box, of Which the following is a specication:
My invention has for its object to furnish a neat and convenient box, approximating in cross-section the form of a corset, when it is rolled up, for containing the latter, while the ends ofthe cover will cover the entire ends of the box, as more fully hereinafter set forth.

In the drawing, A represents a five-sided oblong paper box, closed at the ends a. A is a live-sided oblong` cover for the box A, over which its lower parallel sides slide, the box and cover forming an octagonal receptacle for a corset when rolled up and placed in it. The ends a of the cover are octagonal piece,s,which overlap the ends a of the part A, not only increasing the strength ot' the box at the ends, but affording an opportunity for aflxing a la bel ofthe full size of the end of the box,which label is not destroyed by opening the box.
If desired, the box and cover may be connected by tapes to hinge them together.

The herein-described corset-case, consisting of the box A and cover A', the latter having octagonal end pieces c', substantially as shown and set forth.
