This invention relates to an enclosing casn ing for portable motion picture machines and more especially to the type of such cas ing which constitutes the subject matter oin4 the McMillan Letters Patent No. 1,320,407 dated December 30, 1919, and this improvement has for its object:
To provide a structural formation and as sociatien of a skeleton reinforcing frame adapted to afford a support for the wall portions oi' the enclosing casing' of the niachine, as well. as a substantial support and pivotal and slidl connections of and f the driiuns er nngazines of the film re'l mechaiiisin, the 'traine of the film feed y mechanism and the frame of the associated lamp house, all as will hereinafter more fully appear.

Referring to the drawings, l and 2 designate counter part skeleton side members uisposed in spaced relation with their outer faces formed with the hereinafter described recesses 4, 5', and 19, at theirl margins for the reception and support of' the Wall panels or sections of the rectangular enclosing casing of the machine. Each side member is of detail construction as follows:

The rails 4 and 5 are integrally connected at their adjoining ends and also integrally connected to the aforesaid ring or annulus 3 to constitute a rectangular enclosing` frame therefor' as shown. ln the preferred conon of the side members above desc pcd, the rails 4, are cut away at their upi er front corners with a removal of the vertical front rails 4 to a point below the mid-height of the skeleton supportingr frame, and the upper part ci each rail 4 is connected to a ring 3 by a longitudinal bracino rail 6, and such upper portions are formed with orilices for the pivotal attachment of the hereinafter described skeleton frame of the drop head of the machine and similar in purpose to the drop head of the aforesaid Patent No. 1,326,407.
In like manner the front portions of the horizontal top rails 5 of said side members are out away a distance to the rear of the front of the frame, with the front end of said rails adapted to form stops or abutments for the drop head above referred to when said drop head is in its raised position.

In a skeleton supporting trame for the Wall panels of the enclosing casing ot a portable motion picture machine, a pair of skeleton side :trames formed with central rings adapted to support the pair or' film reel magazine of the machine, with vertical and horizontal rails integrallyT connected to said rings, and With transverse corner rails adapted to hold said side 'frame in spaced relation, said corner rails and the vertical and longitudinal rails having a round corner angular formation in cross-section and recessed on their external faces to receive Wall panels ot the enclosing casing.

In a skeleton supporting frame for the Wall panels of the enclosing casing or' a portable motion picture machine, a pair of skeleton side frames formed With central rings adapted to support the pair of film reel magazine ot the machine, with vertical and horizontal rails integrally connected to said rings, and with transverse corner rails adapted to hold said side frames in spaced relation, said corner rails and the vertical and longitudinal rails having a round corner angular formation in cross-section with said round corner projecting beyond the main portion of the rails to provide recesses for the Wall plates of the casing.

In a skeleton supporting frame for the Wall panels ot the enclosing casing of a portable motion picture machine, a pair ot skeleton side frames formed with central rings adapted to support the pair of lilm reel magazine of the machine, With vertical and longitudinal rails integrally connected to said rings, with transverse corner rails ccnnecting the side frames in spaced relation, and a central connecting trame having at its lower end guide tracks for a longitudinally adjustable lamp house and With outwardly extending bars for attachment to the lower longitilinal rails ot the side trames, and at its mid-Width a vertical portion 'formed with light passages and having at its upper end outwardly extending bars ior attachment to the upper longitudinal rails et the side frames.

In a skeleton supporting frame for the Wall panels of the enclosing casing of a portable b motion picture machine, a pair ot skeleton side trames formed with central rings adapted to support the pair of film reel magazine ot the machine, with vertical and longitudinal railsv integrally connected to said rings, With transverse corner rails connecting the side frames in spaced relation, said corner rails and vertical and longitudinal rails having a round corner angular formation in cross-section, and a central connecting frame having' at its lower end guide tracks for a longitudinally adjustable lamp house and With outwardly extending bars for attachment to the lower longitudinal rails of the side frames, and at its mid-Width a vertical portion formed With light passages and having at its upper end outwardly extending bars for attachment to the upper longitudinal rails of the side frames.

In a skeleton supporting frame for the Wall panels of the enclosing casing of a portable motion picture machine, a pair of skeleton side frames formed with central rings adapted to support the pair of film reel magazine of the machine, with vertical and longitudinal rails integrally connected to said rings. with transverse corner rails connecting the side frame in spaced relation, a central connecting frame having at its lower ends guide tracks for a longitudinally adjustable lamp house and with outwardly extending bars for attachment to the lower longitudinal rails of the side frames, and at its mid-Width a vertical portion formed with light passages and having'at its upper end outwardly extending hars tor attachment to the upper longitudinal rails ot the side frames, `and a transverse rail attached to said side `trames and arranged midway hetWeen the rear ends oit said trames and the vertical portion of the central connect-ing frame, said brace and central connecting frame alicording a substantial attachment Jor the carrying handle` ot the machine.

In a skeleton supporting frame for the wall panels of the enclosing casing ot a portable motion picture machine, a pair ot skeleton side l'trames formed with central rings adapted to support the pair ot iilm reel magazines of the machine, with vertical and longitudinal rails integrally connected to said rings, with transverse bracing means adapted to hold said side trames in spaced relation, the iront vertical. rails and upper longitudinal rails heing cutaway to leave a space, and an angular skeleton traine tting said space and hinged to the upper e* of the front vertical rails aforesaid.
