A supporting bracket 8 is adapted to be secured to a table by bolts 9 and comprises a lower arm 10 adapted to support the table 11 on which the cans are held and an upper arm 12, to which is secured, by bolts 12a, a frame provided with a central bearing 13 for the cutter-head shaft 14 and bearings 15 for a crank-shaft 16. A rotary cutter-head 17 is fixed to the lower end of the shaft 14 which is adapted to be driven by a gear-'wheel 18 xed to its upper end and a pinion 19 fixed to the shaft 16, which has a crank 20 secured to one end thereof. This cutter-head is provided on its under face with a series of recesses 21, 22 and 23 adapted to receive the upper ends of cans of different sizes respectively. The table 11 is provided with'a corresponding series of annular grooves 24, 25, and 26 to receive respectively the lower ends of the cans of corresponding sizes.
