Be it known that 1 Pnnor L. TALLY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Williamston, in the county of Anderson and State of South Carolina, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Peanut Warmers, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to peanut warmers, and has for the primary object thereof, such an article adapted to receive peanuts in bulb or bagged form, whereby these peanuts may be maintained in a warm condition.

' A further object of the invention resides in the provision of such a device that is simple of construction, substantially inexpensive of manufacture, and highly useful of purpose.

The nature and advantages of the invention will be better understood when the following detailed description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing, the invention residing in the construction, combination, and arrangement of parts as claimed.

The view is a side elevation view, partly in cross section, of a peanut warmer constructed in accordance with the present invention.

lVith particular reference to the drawing, my device includes a receptacle 1 of transparent glass, which may be and preferably is of a design as shown. The receptacle is closed at its bottom and open at the top, and the bottom end thereof is so formed as to provide a flat supporting base The upper end of the receptacle has a neck portion 3 formed thereon adapted to receive therein the usual annular flange 4 of a re movable top 5.

Within the receptacle and centrally of the base 2, there is suitably supported an electric lamp socket 6 for receiving therein the usual WARNER.

electric lamp '4'. Electrically connected to the socket 6 is one end of an electric wire 8, this wire passing through a suitable opening 9 in the lower portion of the wall or the receptacle. The wire 8 passes up alongside the receptacle as shown, and is secured to the neck portion 3 thereof by a band or the like it), which wire has connection with a suit able source of electric energy such as a storage battery (not shown).

In view of the above description, it will be readily seen that when the nuts in either bulb or bagged form are received within the receptacle, the same will surround the bulb i therein, and when electric current is sup plied to this bulb, the nuts will be suitably heated.

While I have herein shown and described the preferred embodiment of the present invention, it is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.

What I claim as new is A nut warmer comprising an ovate hollow body of transparent material provided at its larger end with a base and provided at its smaller end with an opening, a cover of transparent material adapted to close said opening, the body being provided at its side and in the vicinity of its base with a relatively small opening, an electric bulb located centrally within the body and positioned upon the base thereof, an electric wire connected with the bulb and threaded through the opening in the side of the body and guided along the exterior surface of the body and means binding the wire to the body in the vicinity of the opening at the smaller end thereof.
