To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EDWARD M. HEYLMAN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of South. Bend, in the county of St. Joseph and State of Indiana, have invented cer tain new and useful Improvements in Agricultural Implements; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable othersskilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to improvements in agricultural implements, such as plows, and more particularly to mountings for the disks, this application being a division of application for patent filed by me on the 14th day of March 1918 and designated by Serial No. 222,334.
One object of the present invention is to so construct a disk mounting that the part which constitutes the bearing for the disk spindle shall be of such form and proportions that it will be prevented from dragging against the bank when plowing deeply.
A further object is to improvethe structure and enhance the strength and eiiiciency of the bearings of a disk plow.
With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in certain novelfeatures of construction and combinations of parts v as hereinafter set forth and pointed out in the claim. y

A spindle 3 for the disk is provided with 4 an annular flange 4 which is securely fastened to the back of said disk by means of bolts 5. a bolt in the bore of the spindle and headed at its rear end, said bolt terminating at its other end rearwardly of the disk and enlaging the threaded portion of the bore in the spindle, a disk disposed between the head of the bolt and the free end of the spindle and engaging the latter, and a cap entering said hub and enclosing the free end of the spindle and the headed end of said bolt.
