The present invention has [or its object an improvement in such by which the primer and the eetonator shell, prior to the discharge of the gun, are so disposed with relation to each other that explosion cannot talze place and by which at, or after the discharge of the gun, the primer or detonator 15 shell is removed by means or spring` in such a manner that the primer will rest within the detonator shell, the invention being characterized by one or more locking' devices arranged in such a manner that inde- `pendently of the spring they will loclr the primer or the detonator shell in the new position in which said primer or detonator siell has been brought by the spring at or after the discharge of the gun. ln the accompanyingdrawing, forming part or this specii'ication,

Referring to these drawings, l is the tube body, 2 the detonator shell, 3 the primer, il the armament shell which is comiocted with the primer and 5 a propelling spring which forces the primer into the detonator shell atter the armament shell e has been disengaged from the ltwlrinc,` balls 6 in the well lmown manner.
According` to the invention one or more locking devices, which in the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, consist of balls 8 arranged in cavities in the guidebody 9 for the hammer 7 in such a manner that they lock the hammer to the guide-body,

until the armament shell er after the dis charge of the gun has been pushed beyond the locking devices, when these latter', through centrifugal force, are thrown out of the cavities and release the hammer but loclr the armament` shell, preventing this from returning` to its original position.
Having' now particularly described the nature of my invention and 'the manner ot its operation, what l claim is l.
