To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EDGAR f\.-GILLINDE-R, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Interchangeable Globe Holder for an Electric Light, of which the following is a specification. Y i I My invention relates to an electric light fixture and has for its object an attachment for supporting a globe, bowl or shade of larger size on the collar than exists on the fixture heretofore employed for'supporting a globe, bowl or shade of less size.

.To this end I employ a supplemental collar forming an interchangeable holder which is attachable to the existing collar and is of such diameter that a globe, bowl or shade of larger diameter may be con-' nected with said existingcollar, and permit the latter to enter the upper wall of said supplemental collar and adapt its screws to be employed to secure the supplemental collar to said existing collar. v

The invention is satisfactorily illustrated in the accompanying drawings, but the important instrumentalities thereof may be varied, and so it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the specific details shown anddescribed, as long as they are within the spirit or scope of the claims.

Figure 1 represents a side elevation partly broken away of an interchangeable holder or supplemental collar for an electric light embodying my invention, including the electric light fixture and a globe, bowl or shade attached to said collar.

Figure 3 represents a top plan view of the collar.

It is evident that when the screws 10 are loosened, the bowl 12 may be removed from the collar5, and when thescrews 4 globe or shade of'less size or diameter may be fitted in the collar'3 and secured thereto by the screws 4. An auxiliary collar for an electric light fixture consisting of a hollow body formed of a top Wall, andv a side on the periphery thereof, an opening in said top Wall, and neck rising from the Wall of said opening, means on said neck for attaching saidaux} iliary collar to, an'existing collar oft less diameter on said fixture, means on the side of said body for connecting a neck of a globe of greater diameter With said auxiliary c'ollar, the top Wall of said auxiliary collar harlng, therein a channel adapted to have the base portion of the existing "collar on the fixture seated therein.
