To all whom t may concern:
Be it known tha-t I, HERMAN FoUsE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Akron, in the county of Summit and State of Uhio, have linvented new and useful Improvements in Supports for Concrete Construction, of which the following is a speciication.
This invention relates to false Work for concrete construction and more particularly to the supports used for maintaining said false work in position during the period of construction'. l'
The primary object of the invention is the` provision of a support for false work used in connection with concrete construction, whereby, the 'forms or molds may be adyjustedand held in position during the operation of filling the forms, and maintained in such position until the work is set.
Anotherobject of the invention is the provision of a support whichis portable and is capable of being adjusted to accommodate itself to the particular work, and is provided with means for obtaining the particular and accurate adjustment after the support has been adjusted to the approximate height. A Vfurther object of the invention isthe provision of a sup ort which is of novel construction, and Willich may be easily and quickly adjusted and one that may be repeatedly used, thereby reducing the cost of thework.
With the above and other objects in View the invention consists in the construction', combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described, illustrated in the accompanying drawings and pointed out in the appended claim.

Referring to the drawings in detail A designates generally the support, C the buildthe line 3-#3 ing foundation and D the second Hoor of the building. v
The support A includes the telescopic sections and 11, which are adjustably held together by means of a locking pin l2 which is passed through apertures in the sections 10 and 11. The section 10 is provided with a plurality of these apertures in order that the support may be lengthened and short- The socket 13 is provided With a false bottom 17 and this bottomv is formed with atransverse slot 18 provided with an inclined inner face 19. The slot 18 is adapted to register with the oppositely arranged slots 20 formed in the lower end of the socket 13, and a wedge 21 is adapted to enter-these slots for the purpose of providing an accurate adjust-ment yfor the support. If desired this wedge may be secured to the socket by mea-ns of a chain 22. Surrounding the section 10 is a split collar 23 which carries yan adjusting bolt 24, the. collar being provided at diametrically opposite points with retaining lugs 25, which engage depressions 26 in the section 1() for the purpose of preventing the slipping of: the collar wfhen clamped thereon. At its upper end the section 10 is provided -with a removable cap 27, which is secured thereto by means of a key 28 which passes through apertures 29 formed in the section 10, and similar apertures 3()I formed in the fiange 31 are provided upon the cap. An annular flange 32 is formed on the cap for the purpose of providing a broad operating surface thereon. Upon thecap are positioned superimposed I beams 33 which serve to support the sub-flooring 34 for the formation of the concrete `floor D hereinbefore mentioned. In order to hold the I beams 33 in position upon the cap there is provided clamps 35 which are adapted t0 engage the ianges of the I beam as shown, the said clamps being secured in dove-tailed slots' 36. If desired various other means may be superimposed upon the cap 27 for the purpose of supporting the sub-flooring 34, it not being deemed necessary however, to illustrate these various methods.
Changes in the form, proportion and minor details of construction may be made without departing from the spirit or sacri- `icing any of the advantages of the invention.
` Having described the-invention, what is claimed is A support for concrete construction, oomprising inner .and outer telescopic sections 15 and socket base receiving said sections, means for adjustably locking the inner telescopic section Within the outer section and Within the socket base, a false bottom positioned in the socket of the base, said false bottom having a transverse slot formed with an inclined upper Wall, and a wedge adapted to be ,positioned within said slot and within the oppositely arranged slots formed -in the walls of the base and registered with the Slot in the false bottom to provide an additional adjustment between the inner' and outer telescopic sections.
