My invention relates to improvements in coin holders especially adapted for use in wrapping coins, and has for its object the provision of an improved construction of this character which is simple and efficient in operation and capable of economical manufacture.

The inventlon conslsts in the combmations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described and claimed.

The invention will be best understood by reference to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, and in which,

The preferred form of construction, as illustrated in the drawings, comprises a suitable base or support 7 having a notch. 8 in one edge thereof. The support 7 is provided with a central spindle 9 in the form of a removable bolt and a coin holding block 10 is rotatably mounted on the spindle 9. Both the block 10 and the base 7 are preferably made of wood, and the block 10 is provided with a plurality of vertical openings 11,

Each of said openings is provided in its outer side with a slot 16, as indicated, and the sides of said. slots are provided with graduations adapted to indicate the number of coins in the respective openings. The block 10 is provided with a spring-held plunger or pin 17 and the top of the base is provided with a metallic plate 18'hav- '55 ing a plurality of openings 18 therein'positioned on the same radius as the pin 17 and located angularly to receive said pin when any one of the slots 16 is in registration with the notch 8', the end of the pin 17 being rounded as indicated, to yieldingly hold the block 10 in such position t permit of ready re-adjustments thereof. A handle 19 is provided on the top of block 10 t facilitate rotations thereof. By this arrangement, it will be observed that the different coin-receiving openings 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 may be readily rotated to bring their corresponding slots 16 in registration with the notch 9, as desired, 7

A combined guide and guard member 20 is mounted to oscillate upon the spindle 9 and extends over the top of the block 10, be-

ing provided with depending flanges or card members 21 and 22, the guard member 21 being adapted to be positioned immediately outside of each of the slots 16 for the openings 11, 12 and 13, and the guard member 22 being similarly adapted to be positioned immediately outside of each of the slots 16 for the openings 14 and 15. The member 20 is provided with openings 23 and 24, the opening 23 being adapted to register with openings 11, 12 and 13, and the opening 24 to register with openings 14 and 15, the opening 23 being of a size to permit the passage of nickels, dimes and pennies, and the opening 24 being of a size to permitof the passage of half dollars and quarters The openings 23 and 24 are provided with upwardly extending substantially funnel-shaped guide members 25 and 26 adapted to facilitate the entry of coins to the respective openings. By this arrangement', it will be observed, that the coins may be readily placed in the respective openings by swinging the proper opening 23 or 24 into registration therewith, the corresponding guide member 21 or 22 being at the same time positioned to prevent egress of coins from the corresponding slot 16.

I, therefore, do not wish to belimited to the precise details of construction set forth, but desire to avail myself of such variations and modifications as come within the scope of the appended claims.

Having described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

'1. A coin holder comprising'a base; and a .coin holding member rotatable on said base and having a plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openings and a'notch in said base extending inwardly to the centers of said openings and arranged to register with said slots, substantially as described.

2. A coin holder comprising abase; a coin holding member rotatable on said base and having a plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openings and a notch in said base extending inwardl) to the centers of said openings and arranged to register with said slots; and graduations on the sides of said slots indicating the contents thereof, substantially as described.

3. A coin holder com rising a base; a coin holding member rotata le on said base and havinga plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openings and a notch in said base extending inwardly to the centers of said openings and arranged to register with said slots; and yieldable means for positioning said member on saidbase with any one of said slots in registration with said notch, substantially as described.

4. A coin holder comprising a base; a coin holding member rotatable on said base and having a plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openings and a notch in said base extending inwardly to the centers of said openings and arranged to register with said slots; grad- ;uations on the sides of said slots indicating the'contents thereof; and yieldable means for positioning said member on said base with any one of said slots in registration with said notch, substantially as described.

A coin holder comprising a base; a coin holding member rotatable on said base and having a plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openings and a notch in said base extending in-' wardly to thecenters of said openings and arranged to register with said slots; and a combined guide and guard arranged to guide coins into said openings and prevent egress of coins from saidslots, substantially as described.

A coin holder comprising a base; a-coin holding member rotatable on said base and having a plurality of openings extending therethrough for the reception of coins, there being slots in the outer sides of said openingsand a notch in said base extending inwardly to the centers of said openings and arranged to register with said slots; graduations on the sides of said slots indicating the contents thereof; yieldable means for positioning said member on said base with any one of said slots in registration with said notch; and a combined guide and guard arranged to guide coins into said openings and prevent egress of coins from said slots, substantially a. described.

7. A coin holder comprising a base having a notch in one edge thereof; a coin block rotatably mounted on said base and having coin receiving 0 enings extending vertically therethrough, t ere being slots in the outer sides of said openings arranged to register with said notch; a spring held locking pin in said block yieldingly contacting with said base; sockets in said base arranged to receive said pin and position said block with the different slots registering with the notch in the base; a combined guide and guard member. pivotally mounted on the axis ofsaid block, extending across the top of said.
