To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that T, ARTHUR Unmn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minden, in the county of Kearney, State of Nebraska, have invented a new and useful Staple Extractor or Fuller; and T do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and .use the same This invention relates to a new and useful staple extractor or puller and an object of the invention is to provide a simple, eficient and practical tool of this kind having means whereby a staple may be easily and quickly extracted. v 1

A further object of the invention is to provide a device of this kind in which 1mproved features of construction are involved.

Fi1rther,.that by the provision of a tool of this kind, the lateral loop thereof may be disposed in enga ement under and through the staple (aftert e same has been extracted a certain distance) in order that a further pull maybe imparted,- whereby the staple may be finally extracted.

, In practical fields, the details of construction may necessitate alterations falling within the scope of what is claimed.

The invention comprises further features and combination of parts, as hereinafter set forth, shown in the drawings and claimed.

' In the drawings Figure 1 is a view in perspective of the improved staple extractor, showing the ap? plication of the same, that is, illustrating how an initial pull is imparted to the staple.

Fig. 2 is a view in side elevation, illustrating how the final pull may be imparted to completely extract the staple.

which terminates in a tapering sharp pointed hook or prong 6, which extends nearly in .parallehsmv with that portion of the tool between the curved portions 4 and 5 of the lateral loop 7. wardly, or a pull upwardly, may further extract the staple. Then by inverting the tool to permit the loop 7 to be inserted under the arch of the staple and between its sides,

the staple-may be finally withdrawn from the post or the like, as shown in Fig. 2. It is to benoted that the prong or hook 6 is so bulged that the loop and the extremity of the prong will'engage the surface from which the staple projects.

The invention having been set forth, what is claimed as new and useful, is:-
