Franklin, in the Territory of Alaska, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Bullets; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

The object of this invention is to provide a I bullet for small arms which will mushroom or expand at a point rearward of its front I I end, and preferably at or about its center, on impact with the body of an animal, a human body or any hard substance, and at the same time avoid the objection which exists as to mushrooming bullets heretofore known, namely, the insufliciency of the velocity to cause them to expand or mushroom.

I claim as my invention:
