Specification of Letters Patent.
Application led February 17, 1916. .Serial No. 78,868.
borough of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings' and State of New York, have invented certain new and usefullmprovements in Corner-Jo1nts, oi which the following 1s a'specliicatlon.
My invention relates to improvements in corner joints and the object of my invention is to provide a simple, convenient and eiiicient device for fastening the parts of a bed stead and the like at the corners.
l accomplish this object by the device illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which,

My deviceis particularly adapted for use inmetal bedsteads. r1 provide an anchor member 1 having a body section 2, an end section 3 bent over at substantially a right angle to the body section 2, a leaf 4 bent upward parallel to the body section 2 forming a channel therebetween and an end leaf 5 bent over at a right angle to thek leaf 4C.
The end section 3 of the anchor member preferably conforms to the shape of the post 6 or the bedstead to which itis attached by means of a screw or bolt 7 or in any other desired manner.
A lateral cross bar 8, which is preferably of angle iron construction and which binds together the head posts or the foot posts of a bedstead, is secured to the leaic 5 by means of rivets 9 9 or'the like.
The longitudinal side bars 10 of the bedstead are each provided at its end section with a cut out socket 101 preferably having the side 11 acent the post 6 inclined and having a. vertical rear wall v12.
The side bars 10 of the bedstead are seated in the channel formed by the bent up leai` 1 and body section 2 of the anchor member 1 and will be drawn up against the post 6 by y the engagement of the inclined wall 11 oi wall, and an end leaf extended from the remailling side portion of the member at the opposite end thereof.
