To all whom t may concern:
Be it known that l, GEORGE W. WARMOTH, a citizen ofthe United States, and a resident of Indianapolis, county of Marion, and
State vof Indiana, have invented a certain .new and useful Anchor-Strip for Paving- Blocks; and Ldo hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and eXact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which like letters refer to like parts.
The object of this invention is to provide an anchor strip for pavingblocks which,
is adapted to be used between street railway tracks or adjacent thereto. process is continued in filling along the whole length of the track. It then becomes impossible for the blocks to escape from their position and it will be impossible for them to escape from place because of their expansion andthe heavy traiiic over them.
This samel result may be accomplished when bricks are used by providing a hole 18 in the anchor strip and a similar hole 19 in the brick throughiwhich a rod or bar 20 vof may be inserted so as to hold the bricks in position.
For preventing the bricks on the outside of the tracks and adjacent thereto from being displaced there'is a plate 22 adapted to grip the bloc s in the same manner as the plate 112. This plate tapers outwardly and has means 23 on the endthereof for anchoring it to the foundation.
