Description

.front guides 2'0 until its lower edge is caught by the inclined faces 21 und deflected inward. against the front panel of the bunk, pressing all the panels backl as shown 1n "ignA 3; until it is finally positioned at the front of the bank and opposite the display aperture 22` of the casina. During this positioning operation, the e ements 4 have been riding down in contact with the rearmost panel. and the lips 14 non' engage below the rearlnost panel of the bank, which is lifted on, the next upward stroke; pushed forward by the springr 16, and positioned at the front of the bank b v the downward push of tbe pins l5, as previously described. As the lever l1. S, is operated, therefore, each panel of the bank is taken scr/'atm from the rear and displayed at the front. Stops S, 8" may be tted to limit the oscillation movement of the arms S; and instead of the ele- Inent- Je being moved bye rocking lever,I as shown, the rod (i may be lifted direct in any suitable manner. y
The 'panels may be made of aluminium7 .ardboard or cardboard protected with u metal edging, eelluloid, or any suitable material. The ad vantage of such an arrangement of display advertising' lies in the fact that any advertisement of Ithe series may be readily removed or replaced as its period expires.
I claim 1. In an advertising `apparatus, in combination; a bank of panels; 'a rocking lever adapted to more the panel at one end clear of the bank; a spring for moving tbe displaced panel across the bank, and a project-on on the rocking levier for positioning the panel at the other end of the bank.
2. In an advertising apparatus, in combi nation; a bank of panels; a rocking lever; an element pivotally hung from the rocking lever and adapted to move the panel at one end clear of the bank; a spring for moving the displaced panel across the bank; and a projection on the rocking lever for positioning the panel at the other end ot the bank.A
3. 1n an advertising apparatus, in combination; a bank of panels; a rocking lever; an element pivotally hungr from the rocking lever and adapted to more the panel at one end clear of thc'bank; a spring for moving the displaced panel across the bank: a projection on the rocking lever for positionin the panel at the other end of the bank; an means for guiding the panel into its new position.
4. In an advertising apparatus, in combination; a bunk ot" panels; a rocking lever; an element pivotally hung from the rocking lever and adapted to move the panel at one end clear of the bank: a lip on the pivotal element for engaging the panel g. a spring for moving the displaced panel across the bank; a projection on the rix'kinglever for positioning the panel at the other rnd of the bank; and means for guiding the panel into its neiv position.
5. In an advertisingr apparatus. in combination; a bank of panels; a. rocking lever; an element pivotal!)r bung from the rocking lever adapted to move the panel at one end clear ofthe bank; a lip on the pivotal element for engaginar the panel; a spring on the pivotal element lor insuring engagement of its lip withthe end panel; a spring for moving the displaced panel across the bank; a projection on the rocking lever for positioning the panel at the other end of the bank; and means for guiding the panel into its, new position.
3. In an' advertising apparatus; in combination. a bank of panels; a pivoted reciprocating member having a lip adjacent one endlthereof, said lip adapted lo engage under the rearmost panel and move. the 'same clear ot' thel bank ol panels, means on one end of' the reciprocating member for engaging the adjacent panel` an operating lever for moving said pivoted rceil'n'mzating inember, ineans for limiting the movement of .said operating lever tor preventing the reciprocating member 'from passing over the panels, and resilient means for holding the reelprocatinpr member into engagement with the bank of panels.
