IMPROVEMENT IN COMBINED TABLE, BUREAU, CUPBOARD, AND SINK.

Speciiication forming part of Letters Patent No. 119,873, dated October 10, 1871.

To all whom' it may concern:

Be it known that I, MARTHA J. MILLER, of Bloomington, in the' county of McLean and in the State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Table, Bureau, Cupboard, ay Sink; and do hereby declare that the following s a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification.

The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a combined table, bureau, cupboard, and sink, and also in a threeleaved hinge used in the same, as will he hereinafter more fully set forth.

In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same,I will now proceed to describe its construction and operation, referring to'the annexed drawing, in whiche Figure l is an end View, showing the leaves thrown up. Fig. 2 is a similar view, showing the leaves thrown down. Fig. 3 is a front view, with the front leafI thrown up; and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the three-leaved hinge.

A represents the frame, in the upper part of which is formed a sink, B, covered by the top G, which is hinged at the rear edge of the frame.

From the front of the ame A are inserted drawers D D, occupying about one-half of the frame, the other half forming a cupboard, E, with door Gr, as shown in Fig. 3. The drawers D D and cupboard are hid from view by the table-leaf H, which is hinged at the upper front edge of the frame. Another leaf, H', on the back of the frame, is hinged at the upper rear edge by the same hinges which hinge the top C to the frame. These hinges I are made of three leaves, as shown in Fig. 4, and may be used wherever three parts or pieces are to be hinged together. The tablele-aves H H are, when thrown up, supported upon wings J J, as shown in Fig. 1.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The combination of the frame A, sink B, top G, drawers D D, cupboard E with door G, leaves H Hf, and the hinges I, all constructed and arranged substantially as and for the purposes herein set forth.
