Connected tothe collar 6 is a compensating or equalizing means from which the blocks hereinafter to be described are suspended, said compensating means being constructed and arrangedso as to equalize the lead on the several pulleys or sheaves wherebvvthe resultant'of the forces represented by the products of the leverage'by the load on each pulley will be on a line extending longitudinally of the suspension bolt.
