new and Improved Cleaning-Tool, of which the following is. a specification.
My invention relates generally to the class of devices used for receiving and directing a current of air created by mechanical means, and more especially to that class used in.

In any event 'the ring will be so constructed that it maybe passed into the sleeve 10 and located in the. groove "12, and when located in said lgroove-may be' retained therein by the action of# the beveled ortion 13 of the sleeve. `'I`he"clamp sleeve eing screwed on to the end of the handle the beveled surface 13 engaging the retaining ring 11 will y close its ends ,together under which conditions the toolS vwill be secured` to the handle but will freelyl swivel ',thereon.

is snapped into .a groove 16 at the rear end of the sleeve 10,. this stop ring being adapted to engage the collar14 and serve as a stopto limit the movementy of the'sleeve in one direction. Y
The special construction of the joint' for attaching the tool to thehandle, which enables the tool itself to be removably secured in placeand at the` same time have free swiveling movement *on Vthe'handle, is of.. especial advantage4 over prior devices in which the tool, while being swivelly united f construction of to its immediate support, Ais not removable therefrom. A stop ring 20,'acting in the same manner as that hereinbefore referred to is employed. i The beveled inner surface of the collar in this instance acts upona clampring 21 which is split, but theinner ends of which 4do not meet in the action of the parts. The cross sectional `form of this ring as herein shown is angular but other forms may be employed if desired and the ring may be of any suitable fibrous, metallic or other material that Will serve to bind 'the parts. In operation the clamp sleeve 19 is caused to move longitudinally by means of the interengaging threads, and the beveled surface 13 of the collar 4engaging the split ring closes it upon the handle 6. binding it firmly` against the handle and thus securing the parts together; In order vto make the ring air tight it is formed as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 5, the ends 22 other thus clamping sleeve being shouldered and lapping past each spaces 23 being traction of the ring.
