IMPROVEMENT IN STOVE-PIPE T-HIMBLES.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

I, JAMES D. PIERCE, of Milwaukee, in the county of Milwaukee, in the State. of Wisconsin, have invented certain Improvements in Stove-Pipe Thimbles and Covers, of which the following is a. specification.

Nature and Object of the Invention.

Description of the I Drawtng forming Part of this Specification. Figure 1 is a. sectional view of my stove-pipe thinlble and cover.

General Description.

A is the outer head, with a groove for the outside band to rest in, and forming aridge on the outside to prevent dirt and rubbish being swept into the holes between the two bands.

B, inner head, with a, similar groove as -A.

O O, grooves or indentations for the bands to rest 1n.

D, cover to close up the stove-pipe thimble when the stove-pipe is not in place. I

E E, buttons in the cover. The inner end of these buttons have an offset, which, when they are turned in the air-holes, catch under the head and hold the cover securely in place. F, lugs on the inside of the head. G, air-holes through the heads. H, outer band. I, inner band.

Claims.

I claim as my invention.- 1. A stove-pipe thimble-head, with groove or indentation O in it for the outside band to rest in, substantially as described.

2; A thimble-head Aor B, with groove 0, in combination with cover D, .with buttons E E to hold it in place, substantially as described.
