To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ANTHONY S1MLER,a citizen of the United States, residing at Canton, in the county of Stark and State of Ohio, have invented. new and useful Improvements in Combined Window-Shade and Curtain-Pole Supporting Brackets, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to a combined Window shade and curtain pole supporting bracket; and it has for its primary object the provision of a bracket of this character which will be adjustably mounted upon the casing and provided with means whereby its adjustment may be retained without the provision of permanent fastening devices.

Another object of the invention is the provision of a bracket of this character which may be applied to the casing without marring the finished surface thereof.

In the accompanying drawings: Figure 1 is a perspective view of a portion of a window casing, showing the application of the bracket thereto; .Fig. 2 is a vertical section through the casing, showing the bracket in elevation; and Fig. 3 is a section, taken through a portion of the bracket.

The bracket is constructed preferably of metal provided with a vertical shank 1 terminating at its lower end in branches 2, which are arranged in downwardly converging relation and provided with offset horizontally disposed extensions 3, on which buffer or cushioning heads 4 are fitted and adapted to bear against theadjacent surface of the window frame and to prevent said surface from being marred through engage ment of the bracket therewith.
