11:) 17 infront 'it may con cern E it known that i, Aninnose A. Quinn, a cititeu oi' the United States of America, zesiding at Pittsburgh7 in the county of iieiiy and State of Pennsylvania, have ited certain new and useful Improve in lie't'rigera-to1s, of wliieli the fol- 4 is a specification, refere ce being herein to the accompanying drawing. s invention relates to refrigerators, prinn y object of my invention is to ide a refrigerator with rotar 'eonipart ments that are provided with slielves and iaclcs for supporting various articles within the refrigerator.
tui-ther object o this invention is to provide a reiiigerator with a rotary carrier that pei-nuts of meats, vegetables andother articles being easily obtained from the refrig rater.
i still farther object of this invention is lil l provide a rotary refrigerator that can e advantageously used by restaurants and as a household article for oompactly holding' a large quantity of artieles/ lilith -the above and` other objects in View, the invention residesiln a novel construetior combination and' arrangement of parts to be hereinafter specifically described and then ciainied.
Tiefer-ence will nowbe had to the drawings, wherein like numerals denote corresponding' parts throughout the several views. in
.=n the iine Vil-VlI of Fig. 3, and Fig. is 1 view taken on the line ver .ciition comprises a shell preferably cylindriral, and nitide in two sections. a base seetion il and a top section 2, The 'oase section i is provided .with door-ways that are no"- ina 'osed by doors 35 t and 5, said doors .j d to the shell whereby they can poned and closed. The top seozs a, horizont-'a1 bottom-plate that is Specification of Letters Patent. 1 Patentd J 1,9 1'48 Application tiled Iiay lo, 1912. Serial No..696,389.

lhe top of the bottom plate 23 is fitted 105 with a l-eiitral conical shaped bearing 25 and with a circular rail 26 that surrounds the bearin 25. Movable upon the rail 26 are a plurality of grooved rollers 27'carried by the bottom plate 28 of a rotary container 29. 110 They bottom plate of said container has a depending sooket meinber- 80 to receive the up:
per end of the central bearing 25. The container 29 is circular and of a less diameter than the shell of the refrigerator. The con` tainer has a horizontal partition 81 and a vertical partition 32, said partition dividing the container into compartments 33 and 34. The partition 31 within the Compartment 34 is slotted as at 35 to provide. slats whereby air can freely circulate 'in the lower part of thecontainer and in the compartments of the casing. The container 29, between the bottom plate 28 thereof and the partition 3l, is provided with vertical equally spaced snpports 36 for shelves 37 and 38, the latter being approximately halt' the size in plan, of the former. Easy access is had to the compartlnents` 3H and 34 and the/space in the lower part of the housing through the lnediurn lof door-ways 3l) that are normally closed by hinge doors 40. [n order that the doors 4,0 -an be, opened, the container 29 is revolved whereby the doors 4() will register with kthe door-ways closed by the doors 4 and by openirngr the doors -ithe doors 40 can be easily swung to an open position. To facilitate revolvingl the container 29, the outer sideof saidl container is provided with hand grips or with handles 41. The container 29 is of a less height than the base section l of the refrigerator and located upon the top of the container is a cylindrical easingT 42 that has the top 43 thereof provided'with a central bearing 44 adapted to 1 engage in a depending socket 45, carried by the portion 9 of the bottom plate ot' the section 2. The easing 42 has U shaped horizontal door-ways or guides 46 in which are slidably mounted drawers 4T. Each drawer has n hinged lid 48 whereby matter can be easily placed in said drawers. lhe door-\vays 4G are dialnetrirally opposed as best. shown in Fig. 6 and are ronnerted by a vertical web 49. This web supports a horizontal shelf o0. The arrangement of the door-nays 46 provides compartments 5l and l and said doorwvays Within the rompartnu-nl 5l are provided with brackets 523 for a transverse box or rark 54 upon which any desired articles can be suspended. The top ot' the eontainer 29 upon `which the easing 42 rests is slotted or perforated as at 55 to insure a rrrulation of air throughout the container 29 and the casing 42. y
Easy access is had to the compartments ol and 52 through the medium of hinged doors 56 and these doors can be readily opened when the container is turned so as to bring either door 56 opposite door Si.
1,10 been The drawers 47 are provided with 4'faucets i tion 2, entire top section can be thor-4 oughly cleaned.
From the foregoing it will be observed that Ihave devised a novel rotary refrigerator that is located in a shell that provides Van air space which prevents Warm air upon the exterior of the shell troni affecting the temperature of the various compartments and'drawers in the rotary portion of the refriverator. The entire structureI can be maidifof light and durable metal, enameled or otherwise finished to present a neat and attractive appearance.
While in the4 drawing, there is illustrated a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is to be understood that the structural elements are susceptible: to such changes7 as in the size, proportion and manner of assemblage, without departing from the scope of the; appended claim. The horizontal .partition with its integral vertical extension 10 .serving as a partition, and its` depending bearing socket greatly facilitates the assembling of the reroluble container and other elements within the cylindrical shell and in sores an easy turning of the container.
` What I claim iszln a refrigerator, the combination with a cylindrical shell. of a horizontallydisposeri fixed partition within the shell near the upper end thereol` having* an integral vertical extension serving' as a partition, and a bearing' socket depending centrally from said horizontal partition, a bottom provided with a central npwaidly-projecting eonieal stud. a circular rail on said bottom surrounding said stud` a revoluble container, a casing;
therein provided at its top with a contrai.
conical stud fitting said depe'xdiitgr hearing, and grooved rollers supported below the bottom of the container, said conical studs being vertically alined to support and sustain the weight ot' the container in ils pivotal movement.
ln testimony whereof l aflix my signature in the presence of two Witnesses.
