The tie as hereinbefore stated has its thread loops running on a bias, so that it will unravel on a bias, and it apparently has longitudinally extending wales and horizontal thread courses.
The term lace as used herein and in the claims is intended to mean and cover a portion or stripe of a different form or structure from the stripe shown in applicants allowed case, vSerial No. 721,358, filed September 20, 1.912, and it is therefore intended to mean and cover Aan open mesh or open work stripe which is different from a continuous solid form of stripe such as'shown in applicants companion case.
We claim as our invention:
l. As an article of manufacture, a bias knitted necktie having therein knitted on a bias, a lace formed stripe.
2. As an article of manufacture, a Hat knit-ted necktie having knitted therein a lace ually widened Haring portion or portions,-
each terminating in a shaped end on ends; said tie having its rear lateral edges suit ably connected, and also having knitted thereina Jlurality of true bias stripes, one or more o alcontrasting color or colors, and one or more of open mesh work.
