Description

Field of technology to which the invention belongs:

The present invention relates to containers, in particular barrels, and grooves installed in the upper part of these containers, as well as the groove itself.

Technical level:

Common practice involves equipping a container or barrel with bottom and top grooves. Such devices usually perform several functions. The first is a purely protective function - to protect the base and upper part of the barrel from damage during use. The barrel base groove also provides a flat base for the barrel so that it can be easily installed in a vertical position. In most cases, the upper and lower racks are designed taking into account the stacking of barrels, which simplifies their transportation and storage. Another important function of grooves is to facilitate the use of barrels. Indeed, most of the chutes are equipped with a skirt which, when assembled, is placed around the periphery of the barrel and which forms a rolling ring, so that when the chutes have lower and upper chutes, they can easily be rolled on their sides without the sidewalls of the chutes touching the ground.

Several options for fixing grooves on the barrel are known. In most cases, however, the grommets are welded or glued to the side wall of the barrel, for example in patents 53095111 and OE3140022, or cast on the top of the container as in EP826604, which have the disadvantage that once installed they can neither be removed nor replaced , especially given the fact that the barrel and barrel are usually made of different materials.

This shortcoming was overcome in the patent OEZ3336681, which describes the groove, which is fastened with snaps to the protrusions provided on the periphery of the corresponding barrel. In this case, the grommets can be easily removed from the barrel and replaced, which simplifies both the repair and the reuse of both the grommets and the barrel. However, the disadvantage of such grooves is that the snap connection is located far enough from the center of the groove, so that when the barrel is tilted to the side beyond the groove, the snap connection is subjected to strong stress and may disconnect, which will create a safety hazard.

Considering the growing demand for plastic barrels and the growing need for their reuse and reduction of processing costs, it can be argued that the application of grooves on barrels and the removal of said grooves from barrels need further simplification while ensuring maximum safety.

The essence of the invention:

The present invention achieves the objectives by providing a container assembly including a container and an upper groove attached to each other, the container having a top and a peripheral side wall, which is characterized in that the fixation between the groove and the container is carried out in the upper part of the container and on a certain distance from the specified peripheral side wall.

By changing the design of the fixing of the lugs to the container, the applicant moved the means of attachment to the central part of the base of the container. Now the fixation of the grooves no longer depends on the peripheral circumference of the container.

This provides the advantage that fixing the groove to the container can be done in the same way for containers of different diameters, which greatly simplifies the automation of processing and increases manufacturability, especially in terms of reuse.

Other advantages associated with various embodiments of the present invention include locking the groove by means of a snap connection as it engages with the edge of the barrel neck (which, of course, involves automated production). Moreover, in cases where no other means of fixation are used, the top liner can be easily removed and reused separately from the container and, if properly easily replaced with another replacement liner, such a container can be returned to production. In addition, the upper groove provides ease of use, and its flexibility provides the advantage of anti-dropping.

Preferably, the fixing between the tube and the container is removable, so that the tubes can be easily replaced in case of damage. In the best embodiment, the locking is achieved by a snap connection between the tube and the container.

The present invention also applies to the container itself, since in order to implement the above-described fixation, the container according to the present invention must have a base equipped with means for attachment located at a certain distance from the peripheral side wall of the container.

The groove according to the present invention includes at least an inner sleeve equipped with means for fixing, and an outer skirt which is designed to engage with a portion of the peripheral side wall of the container.

Detailed description of the best embodiment of this invention:

Figures 1 and 2 of the attached drawings show the upper groove 1 of the barrel (or container) according to the present invention. The upper groove 1 of the barrel includes a slot 10 for the end part of the neck of the barrel. The socket 10 is specially adapted for engagement with the correspondingly equipped end part of the neck of the barrel (not shown in fig. 1 and 2, see fig. 3 and 4). Such coupling due to mutual fitting provides a fastening effect for at least partial attachment of the groove to the barrel.

In this preferred embodiment of the groove 1 of the present invention, the socket 10 has an opening 10a surrounded by respective free ends 104 of a plurality of resilient flexible teeth 100. The teeth 100 extend radially into the opening 1ba from the fixed ends of said teeth 106, which sit on an inner, preferably central sleeve 3 .

It should be noted that at least one of the specified free ends 104, and preferably several of them, includes a contact extension 10c, designed to interact with a suitable match with an auxiliary slot (not shown) in the shoulder of the neck of the barrel. Although the function of this device may be accomplished in various ways within the scope of the present invention (eg, simply by engaging corresponding prongs in corresponding individual slots in the neck shoulder), such contact extensions effectively prevent any rotation that would otherwise be possible between the bore 1 and the back of the neck relative to the body of the barrel.

Groove 1 includes a "spider" 2 for engagement with the upper part of the barrel body (not shown in Figs. 1 and 2, see Figs. 3 and 4, as well as further description), on which groove 1 sits. Spider 2, in turn, contains a center bushing

With several legs or spokes 4, which depart from it radially outward. These spokes end on the annular wall 5 of the downward-facing skirt 7 of the groove.

The spokes 4 have the shape of a trough in section and include walls C, which provide the effect of a rigid beam and function as supporting belts between the central sleeve C and the skirt 7 of the groove.

The hand ring 6, also designed to connect the radially distant ends of the spokes, is located above and at a certain distance from the skirt 7 of the groove. The hand ring 6 has an arcuate lower side ba, adapted for a comfortable hand grip, and numerous raised ribs 65 on the opposite surface, which provide a comfortable hand grip and function as an extension of the support surfaces bs, which form the base of the corresponding spokes 4, where they connect to the skirt 7 In addition, any liquid that gets on the hand ring is directed downwards between the ribs 6 away from the part of the groove that is gripped by the hands to ensure a secure grip.

The skirt 7 of the groove supports the peripheral flange 12, intended for engagement with the surface of the peripheral side walls of the fixed body of the barrel.

The skirt 7 of the groove also includes holes 7a for the hands placed below the raised ribs 6bB, which form a window in the "pocket" between the upper side of the body of the barrel and the side walls C of the adjacent pairs of spokes, thereby allowing the capture of the hand ring 6 between the groove 1 and the proximal ones, but distant from each other parts of the upper side 15a of the barrel body.

The skirt 7 also has drainage channels 9 for the removal of liquid that accumulates between the skirt 7 and the corresponding wall of the barrel body. During use, the barrel collection assembly according to the present invention can accumulate water and other liquids that would remain between the groove and the barrel in its normal vertical position, but which can be drained through these channels 9.

Also, in the manual ring 6, drainage channels 11 are provided for draining the liquid that accumulates inside the profiles of the spokes 4.

It should be noted that the barrel and groove container assemblies of this invention are often washed and filled in an inverted state, during which water could accumulate if it did not have the opportunity to drain through these drainage channels. It should also be noted that the barrels according to this invention and the container sets containing them are preferably closed system barrels.

Figure 3 shows the groove 1 installed on the body 15 of the barrel.

Attention should be paid, in particular, to the introduction of the teeth 106 into contact with that part of the shoulder 16 of the barrel neck that protrudes through the socket 10 and, especially, to the introduction of the free ends of the teeth 106 into contact below the support 165 of the neck shoulder. Also note that the peripheral rib 12 comes into contact with the body of the barrel proximal to the place of transition between the upper sides and the cylindrical or peripheral side wall of the barrel. The packing set consisting of a barrel and a groove, as shown in Fig. 3, includes a body 15 of the barrel, the upper part 15a of which carries a shoulder 16 of the neck of the barrel. The upper groove 1 of the barrel includes a slot 10 for the shoulder of the neck of the barrel. The slot 10 for the shoulder of the barrel neck and the shoulder 16 of the barrel neck are mutually adapted for engagement to provide a fastening effect for at least partial attachment of the groove to the barrel in the assembled state. In various embodiments, the fastening effect due to the mutual fit is an elastically displaced mechanically mutual fit between the protruding parts of the barrel 15 and the groove 1.

Fig. 4 shows a section with a cut through a pair of barrels placed one on top of the other, which shows in more detail the coupling of the groove 1 with the body 15 of the barrel and the possibility of stacking using the grooves. Although it is not shown in Fig. 3, the 4 contact extensions 10c are included in the receiving holes located on the shoulder of the neck to prevent the rotation of the groove 1 relative to the body 15 of the barrel.

The body 15 of the barrel has an upper part 15a in the form of a flange that rises above the rest of the cylindrical body of the barrel. The upper part 15a carries the shoulder 16 of the neck of the barrel, designed to interact with the corresponding socket 10 of the upper groove 1 of the barrel (also visible in Fig. 1 and 2).

The neck shoulder 16 includes generally vertical sidewalls 16ba which extend the adjacent periphery of the upper part 15a of the barrel body 15 and terminate in a projecting annular support 160 which, due to mutual fit, provides engagement with the auxiliary elements of the upper groove 1 with a fastening effect, as described herein.

The spokes 4 are curved along the edges of the side walls C in accordance with the shape of the adjacent surfaces of the upper part 15a of the barrel to ensure contact between them.

The proposed groove 1 is a particularly light design and adds relatively small material costs to the total cost of the container set.

In order to fix the groove 1 according to this invention on the barrel, it is enough to install the groove 1 with the hole 10 above the shoulder of the neck of the barrel and press it down until the flexible teeth snap into the slot in the shoulder of the neck of the barrel.

In the case when the keg is a plastic keg, it is better to create excessive internal pressure in the keg,

to prevent its deformation during the fixation of the groove 1.

To remove the groove 1, it is simply torn from the barrel, although this operation can be easily automated with a cylindrical drill, destroying the teeth 106, after which the groove 1 falls from the barrel, as well as the teeth 105. This automated and simple removal of the groove obviously simplifies the reuse of the sets

Finally, it should be noted that both the barrel and the groove can have different shapes. Barrels, for example, can have a circular cross-section, a rectangular cross-section, or any other cross-section shape. more

Claims (9)

1. A container set containing a container 1 upper groove (1) fastened together, the container having a top and a peripheral side wall, 1 groove containing: mainly a central inner sleeve (3) with fixing means (10) ; skirt (7); numerous spokes (4) that depart from the inner sleeve (3) radially outward and end on the circular wall of the skirt (7), ensuring the engagement of the skirt with the peripheral side wall (15) of the container, while the groove (1) is fixed on the upper part of the container and at a certain distance from the peripheral side wall (15). 2. The packing set according to claim 1, which is characterized by the fact that the fixing (10) is a removable fixing. 3. A packing set according to one of claims 1 or 2, which is characterized by the fact that the fixing (10, 105) is a connection with a snap. 4. The packing kit according to any of the previous items, which differs in that the groove is fixed to the container at the neck (16) of the container. 5.
